Damn that's a shame for the young bloke. Godinoz I would say a mixture of a few injuries & a bad day for the magoos but they have been pretty good lately. Noticed Boges wasn't out there today hopefully nothing serious? As for the colts well that's another story...

Pretty good game against the Tiges, both sides did tend to overuse the ball, Cl did a massive amount of short 45deg passing trying to open us up, worked on occasions but Schoey was right onto it at qtr time. Pretty willing affair with both sides very physical at the ball and the man, so I'll withdraw my handbaggers description as the Cl boys gave as good as they got in what was at times a spitefull contest.

Dela was sensational with 27 touches and a goal, BOG for mine, we still got beaten in taps but his and Clangs work around the ground was massive. Horse was terrific off the wing, Hoskins Phez and 1st gamer Max Walters did well through the mids. Walters adds some height and real grunt for us, looks untidy on the field but knows how to get the footy. Our forwards looked better with Shep bagging 6 and Liam Ryan 4. Ryan looks a real talent, a bit tentative in the first half but opened up the Cl backs in the 2nd half with pace and skill and took what is so far the mark of the year standing on the CL blokes shoulders. Heal was very solid down back along with Jackson, pretty much blanketed the CL key forwards.

The Cl mids did very well but their ball use was not as effective as ours and that was the case across the ground. Kitch was quiet again, needs to shake the heavy tag he's getting each week, but the other mids are stepping up.

Next week it's the Joondy munchers which will be a really good tough game as they are getting some of their better players back from injury.

Sad news for big Dave Madut, looks like season over with a bad knee injury in the 2's. Spoke to Bensti at halftime and he said Madut was in great form before he went down. Apparently the latest in a series of knee injuries so he's not convinced Dave will come back from this one.

TOO he's from Gero I believe, has taken some time to settle in but has pace and nice skills, will need to up the defensive side of his game, but that will come with more time & confidence.

Your mids had a massive amount of the ball but most kicks went short at 45deg or backwards, has that been the game plan all year? With so much of the footy they would be better served going more direct as you have some good sized and quality forwards and followers who could take advantage of faster inside 50 entries..

Seemed to be the game plan didn't it? When we've got the tallest man in the wafl down there with Maister alongside him why wouldn't you just kick it long and straight sometimes! You blokes shut down the sideways rubbish very easily, and that's not as easy to do at a ground as wide as the Showgrounds
Sharks have lost an exciting one there in Ryan.

Is that Steven Armstrong? Is/was he still coaching your colts this year?
