Was at that game GTR, rippa game apart from the result. You guys were all over us till half time then Schoey move Wheeler into the Ruck and he began to dominate and we got right back into the game but Swans hung on strongly against the breeze while we proceeded to butcher several scoring opportunities and fell 1pt short. Great game of WAFL footy.

Yes, I had the pleasure to be at that. Bloody cold. That was the game Swans Mr Pres appeared nice and imbibed and spent the last quarter hanging shit on the Subi players at the interchange - most notably Robinson and Twomey - no surprise. Some interesting banter between he and some Subi faithful. Very entertaining day. Almost got knocked out by a flying mullet when the siren went..

Always expect the unexpected up at Bogundean, I braved the McDonald stand for the first qtr last Saturday and you could not believe the virulent anti umpire comments coming from the Swans faithful, stuff me it was just a scratch match!! Moved to the other stand after that where the crowd was a bit more mixed and commentary and banter was much more educated and reasoned. Best quality pre-season game I've seen for a long time, both teams will be in the mix come September if they can keep their best on the park.

The worst offender wouldn't happen to be the bloke in the top right hand corner of the McDonald stand with the overgrown moustache would it Senior.

Never understood why their supporters are so precious and such big sooks, is it their lack of success? The fact that they feel left out not being one of the traditional WAFL clubs? Who knows?

Whilst I don't condone umpire bashing one bit TOS as a SD supporter all my life there is a vibe amongst us black ducks that it is us versus the world. Maybe it's due to demographics of the region, I'm not sure but what I will say is we are on mass a mighty passionate bunch. Not saying supporters of other clubs arent just as passionate, we just seem to have a little bit more mongrel within our passion. Working in Mirrabooka recently has certainly been an eye opener for me as to how location can effect the vibe of a community. What's happening in Mirrabooka on a daily basis is a bloody disgrace. Feel sorry for the police and the shit they had to deal with. Swans folk come out looking like angels in comparison.

I was thinking just a little further east mate. I hated my time at the school for what it's worth. Too much focus on army type discipline and ramming church down your throat and not enough for education in my time there. Half the kids were western suburbs lot anyways and the other farmers. SD had no monopoly on support within the school that's for sure....met many a dickhead Tigers supporter at the school, in hindsight I'm amazed they caught that train past Mount Lawley station :P :P :P

Just read the Subi e-newsletter which mentioned Broughtons shoulder may not be too bad, but he wont be rushed back, so don't expect him or Kennedy to be playing against Peel. So those 2 plus Cockie will be out against what is likely to be a Peel team heavy with Dockers and not the usual leftovers but quality players coming back from injury and looking for game time.

Coming back from injury and looking for game time? You just described Fyfe, let's get big Dave Madut to run through him at the opening bounce, might make everyone rethink this alignment. Don't wish for Fyfe to get injured, just a big "welcome to the Sudan" smash
