Those afl blokes just aren't desperate enough, pretty weak really. We should've won by a lot more but our efforts cant be faulted. The tricky breeze didn't bother Yaz too much but most of the others it did. Robinson dominated with Mahoney, Phelan & Twomey not far behind. Liked Hancock's game & also Feathers. Madut & Clancy kept good pressure on Hannath who was pretty good for them. Happy the colts got a win & we got 3 from 3 today but seeing Waters on crutches at half time soured the day.

Waters will be serving his club imposed suspension for the nightclub incident over the coming weeks.

Yep agree DG Peel just didn't have a red hot crack although I thought it was pretty rough and tumble in the packs today and the pressure in there was reasonable ???

Peel had too many guy's who didn't give a 4 quarter performance today where as Subi had no passengers. For Peel I thought Mzungu, Weller, Sheridan, Ballard, crozier and Jones had a crack but not too many others although their big fellas tapped it down to their mids a bit.

For Subi a far more polished 4 quarter performance with Robbo leading the way with Yarran adding icing on the cake. Great efforts from Hancock who has slotted in nicely at Subi, Phelan continues his great season, Mahoney, Wheeler, Latham and I thought Feathers played one of his best games for the club today.

The backs were brilliant today and their teamwork and understanding of each other with their systems is pretty to watch. The way Twommey and Lockyer read the ball coming down and shut it off along with the great work from Wortho, the tight checking Heal, Rumba with his usual strong game along with Stevo, Kennedy, Latham and others running through the backs was sensational. Whoever is working at the club with the backline is doing a great job and their teamwork is as good as I have seen at Subi.

Subi had great run and handball through the middle and even when up against the tricky breeze seemed to have a lot of the ball today and when we did we looked far more polished than Peel who I were expecting to give us a red hot crack today ???
Peel clogged up our forwards well although they couldn't control Yarran who has been on fire this season.

Peel looked good at times when they could transfer the ball fast but it just didn't happen enough for them ???

A great win by the Ressies by the look and well done to the colts for their 1st victory.

Go you mighty Lions !!!

I really like him mate, an example of his work yesterday he kicked the ball fwd about 40 metres then sprinted to the contest where his kick landed & put a crunching tackle on the freo bloke who got the ball & was awarded the free. If he keeps doing that type of thing he will surely keep his place in the team.

obviously disappointed to see him leave EF.....buy always good to see your clubs ex players playing good footy else where.....so far out of the two, Hancock has done better than Hampson....though early days for George considering his early injury.

freez..Hancock has been very good for us. Even with players coming back I'd be really surprised if he missed out. I thought Clanger was a standout again on Saturday...his work ethic is first rate and he's obviously extremely fit as he seems to rotate between CHF and the ruck which must be tough. All in all a good effort by the boys. In fact, we seemed to run the game out better than the full time professional Dockers which is very pleasing.

Did any Subiaco supporters ( or Peel if they exist) see the incident involving Tendai Mzungu and Halligan? Mzungu was reported on a charge of rough conduct for what the commentators on 91.3 FM described in their summary as a 'sling tackle' on Halligan.

I note from the WAFL website that Mzungu has pleaded guilty and been fined $50, which seems a little different from the 2 week penalty that Ricky Cary received a few weeks back for his sling tackle? Perhaps the impact on Halligan wasn't as bad as on the East Freo player that Cary tackled. You would hate to think that there is different treatment here on the basis that they are dealing with an AFL player?

yes mike...it was a sling tackle that had Halligan landing on his head and was totally uncalled for. fortunately Halligan wasn't injured and kept on playing but it could have been far more serious. from memory the Cary tackle resulted in the opposition player getting hurt which could be the reason for the difference in penalties.
