A great report but having a quick look of the players highlighted but not AFL player how many are still at the club playing league or reserves.

I realise EP will not have a lot in the league but the ressies are pretty well 90% home grown.

Just asking not picking a point.

Hey Ben...welcome back mate...long time no hear. Your lists from 2011 and 2012 above made me wonder what has happened to Charlie Le Fanu, Rhysey Waters and Kyle Halligan this year? I know Waters and Halligan have had injuries but where's Charlie.

Yep, fair question. From the 2010-2015 lists it's as follows. A lot of 2015 are still playing colts as you would expect but the remainin players are.

Hoskins, R Waters, Garcia, Hay, Moore, Joyce, Bogensperger, Elliott, D Clarke, K Halligan, Fetherstonhaugh, Madut, Jackson, J Bestry, Wood, Grace, Hughes, Creeper, T Hooper, Edwards, Walters, Scafidi, H Kennedy, Bryan, Vermeersch, G Clark, A Kennedy, Hatch, JE Woodley, Cary, Burnett, Allison-Green, Borchet, Chapman, Underwood, Braut, Eccles, Barns, Marinovich, Doyle.

So pretty good retention. Most that have gone gave it their best shot for 3 or 4 years but probably weren't quite good enough to be regular league players and have joined the ammos.

C De Luca and Le Fanu are obvious exceptions as premiership players. Tough to have lost those two. The other guys that stand out to me are Lee and Wohling. I think they could have played a lot of league footy. Summers opted for cricket. JU Woodley is having a year off.

If I could just magically click my fingers and change one thing it would be getting more of the talented boys from East of Wanneroo Road to become regular colts players. I'm not going to entirely blame the club or the boys themselves. It's never that simple. Each lad has a different story. But I see so many in 15's and 16's development squad that I look forward to seeing play colts.....but often sadly, they never even play a single game. I'd do anything to see that change.

Having spoken to quite a few of those boys lately. I do understand their point of view. One thing we must do is get a training base as close to Warwick Station as possible. Having pre-season at Sacred Heart in Sorrento made it too tough on the boys living in Koondoola, Balga, Mirrabooka etc. It required those without cars to get home from school, get their gear together get a bus to Warwick, then wait for another bus to Sorrento. Getting home is even tougher because the buses don't run frequently in these areas after 6pm. Looking at getting home at 9pm in some cases if you have to travel to Girra, Landsdale etc areas mentioned above.

LH what ever happened to the likes of Grace and Wilkinson?....outstanding juniors who just lost interest or others just passed them on the way? Clark is another one, dead cert for drafting then didn't get a look in...seems to be a good size just lacking what?....good for Subi though that he isn't playing for EP or Peel though.
