2011 Outridge medalist Kyal Horsley is back at the Subiaco Football Club and ready to make an impact.
Horsley returns after spending two years playing for the Gold Coast Suns in the AFL before an unfortunate ACL injury saw his time cut short.
The midfielder opted to return to the Subiaco Football Club where he is hoping to make strides on a personal and team level.
“I’m hoping to get back to 100% on a personal level after the injury; and as a club, our aim is to get back to our winning culture and bring the group together through hard-work.”
Horsley spent valuable time under the tuition of Guy McKenna and around a host of Australia’s best talent on the Gold Coast; bringing an AFL level work ethic back to the Subiaco Football Club.
But the man affectionately known as Horse maintains that it comes down to the little things.
“The little things matter so much. The difference in the AFL is that everyone can see it, you have to be repetitive in the little things.”
The 26 year old now focuses on returning for the start of the 2014 season; entering a squad brimming with talent.
“ I think we’ve got a really strong list with a lot of depth but it comes down to keeping the best 22 on the park and avoiding injuries. Last year we had a lot of injury problems and it brought the team unstuck at times.”
Kyal Horsley and the Subiaco Lions are now a week into pre-season training as the Lions strive to be the fittest team in the competition.

Thats a good get Dags! You blokes will be ok this year, Im going back to change my ladder and putting Subi in the 4 !

Surely if Subi are to come into to your final four Leedy, WP will be in the firing line to make room?......

We will definatly be in the firing line as we will more than likely occupy a spot in the 4 (if we have 9 players missing, admittedly we may struggle). It will be Perth,Peel,CL,SF,SD or EF that in my opinion will have to make way for Subi !
