Back in the promised land after 6 weeks in the UK and Europe, great trip but glad to be back home.
Not great form by the team but not totally unexpected. We cant seem to keep a ruckman on the ground although Wagontrains sounds like he did an ok job against Stranadica. No Schoey also would have hurt us around the packs. Competitive for a half then fell away badly ... again. Is it a fittness thing? If so that would be very disappointing as we used to be the fittest and strongest team under Schoey. What is the situation with the big ex ferals ruckman we recruited, long or short term injury?

Many posts saying we are ok attack and mids wise but really struggling down back. Not unexpected given we have lost nearly the entire back 6 in the last couple of years which was the teams main strength. Bit of a fail by the recruiting guys not to get hold of a couple of tall experienced key backs.

Anyway, an in form D's at Eagles arena this weekend will be a real test.

Welcome back SS, Jed Edwards is showing as being available for round 6 from an ankle injury so will be interested to see how he goes, hopefully we will at least be competitive against the monsters from other teams. We are definitely looking frail defensively these days when it has previously been a strength and I was also wondering about the fitness levels where we were also previously running over teams late instead of suffering the opposite.
