Saw the last qtr of the colts who lost to a very hard at it Peel team, they gave our lads no room at all, super pressure and deserved the win, Tregenza up forward is a real handful and should see some league footy next year but may need to move clubs as he wont get much of a look in at the AFL Crabs.

The ressies game till halftime was a great close physical contest, Subi did a bit better with ball movement but both sides tackling was superb, just a 1 goal lead at the main break. Claremont dominated the 3rd qtr but could not hit the side of a barn, they kicked the 1st, then we had one at the 4 min mark then one in the last minute to go in with a 13 point lead, but into a solid breeze in the last. The coaches last message to the huddle was "dont die wondering" and they didn't, a superb last qtr of 5 straight to 2 points and plenty of niggle from both sides, but a well deserved win and onto Joondy next week.

Just a quick one SS...what's your thoughts on Filimone Muavou? He did some good things in the last quarter yesterday and is very hard at it. At 22 years of age, 189cm and 86kg, I reckon we should see a bit of him in the seniors next year. He plays forward at the moment but with a decent preseason and some tailored aerobic training, could he be a big bodied mid?

Agree BC, he's got all the tools and a raking left foot, plus not afraid to mix it a bit. he missed a few shots at goal due to that classic left footers hook, but his field kicking was pretty good plus he has some pace, so yes, some midfield opportunities would not be a waste of time. Some real quality in the Colts as La Hincha mentioned especially the indigenous boys who can do some special stuff. there will be a few in the mix for draft but hopefully a couple will get up into the league squad with a solid preseason on the track and in the weights room. Unfortunately I'm away next weekend, so will miss the ressies, wish them all the best against the South Gero mob, hopefully playing at home will give them a slight edge.

Agree Muavou still pretty raw but a lot to like about what he brings. With a full pre season he could be knocking on the door for a berth in the league side in 2023. Some very promising talent in this years colts also hopefully push thru, although a lot of bottom agers in the group so may take time there.

I reckon the sight of Braut, Atkinson and Muavou running out at the start of the game would put the fear of death into any opposition team.

When does the 2023 season start?????
