Good to see Golding and Alone in, two solid units that are hard at it

Well...what can you say about that? We were comprehensively smashed through the midfield which can be shown by the inside 50 count of 63 to 42. Snadden 8 touches, Golding 11 and Vanirsen just 4 for the entire game just isn't good enough. I'm not sure where we're going to find reinforcements to help Kitch, Giro and Marsh but we won't win many games with those numbers.

It also looked like Jordy Lockyer injured a knee which if it is the case, could be career ending for one of our greatest warriors in recent times. Fingers crossed it's not too bad. Our forward line is dysfunctional with too few needed to do too much to kick a winning score.

Jono Marsh torched us again and is definitely out there but a very good player nonetheless. We're going to need some strong introspection to turn things around pretty soon or the season will be done and dusted. Disappointing to say the least.

Thought you might have been a bit more critical of your boys kicking at goal BC.  While the Sharks weren’t anywhere near perfect in front of goals, I thought Subi missed a few critical shots that could have got them back in the contest.  It was like their goal kicking and general play around the ground was nearly there, but they just couldn’t finish it. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a Subiaco side capitulate like that - very unSubi like. Still, I gotta say that I’m rapt at the final score.

Strong introspection. I like that phrase. In the hall of mirrors. Varinsen might be in trouble. I'm a Golding fan. Like his style. Snadden. He's looking very vulnerable. I liked Robins in the ressies.

I enjoyed the waca. Loverly views of trees sans the grandstand. Thought Breman showed some good signs. Good last quarter. The waca v ground was not really up to it though. It was very sandy. contributedt o injuries quite possibly.

Good to see sharks playing well. Good for the wafl. that  dangerous tackle was what's wrong with the state of the game.  Just a bloody tackle.

I guess I was dirty right from the start as I bought a cheese burger from the food stall and it consisted of a cold bun, a meat patty and a slice of Kraft cheese for $12.50. Very ordinary and not a great advertisement for the WACA if that's the best catering can do.

You must be chomping at the bit BC to get to Mineral Resources Park in a couple of weeks. Bank the 4 points and get your season back on track and get a Bacon Deluxe or a Whopper for $4 on a Shake & Win on the HJ's app if you're lucky.
Get on your bike.

Mate...as enticing as that sounds, I went to Lathlain for the pre-season scratchy and unfortunately the thought of a HJ burger which tastes like cardboard was not high on my list and won't be in future. I miss very much Topolini's at Leederville who used to pump out great burgers with good quality meat and salad and also continental rolls which were terrific.

For some reason Subi has turfed them out and now have food vans over on the far side of the ground which from what I've seen, are the perfect setting for food poisoning. Young blokes pumping out nachos and stuff without gloves and not a lot of hygiene. I'll be having something substantial before I go to the footy now Topolini's have gone but thank you for the offer.

DG, thats exactly what EF did to us, their pressure from the first bounce was intense, we had no time at all to execute, hence the really poor disposal which made our forwards life really tough. But when we did get it forward our conversion was hopeless. How long since we've been held to 1 goal in a half of footy. We looked slow again, we got away with it last week due to Swans lack of fitness but EF are big, strong and fit, their disposal was very good and they maintained possession very well. Teakle is all class and will be a massive loss for them as he's guaranteed to go in the the mid-season WAFL rape festival.

Kitch tried his guts out all day as usual but had little support, losing Walters was critical as our mid-field ranks are tissue thin, so it's easy for the opposition to run a heavy tag on Kitch and close down our clearances. And heavy was the tag on Kitch, he took a beating all day, nothing much out of order but he would have been sore at the end. Dela was ok but is making uncharacteristic errors along with his good play, put that down to EF great pressure and the fact he has little support. The backs worked hard but were overwhelmed by the number of inside 50's by EF.

2 and 4 so far, Peelmantle next week who beat Cl and will again be heavily loaded with listed players and very likely to have Fyfe as no need for Freo to rush him back into the AFL. If we play like yesterday they will win very comfortably. Then Perth who almost rolled top of the table Joondy with a heap of players out and then a winnable game v WCER. We could be looking at hitting mid season at 3 & 6 or at best 4 & 5 if we can get over Perth. If 3 & 6 I think thats the finals gone, 4 & 5 gives us a faint sniff only due to it being an even season but we would need to finish with 6 from 9 as our % is poor.

I wouldn’t imagine we’ll see Subi’s kicking for goal that bad again.
