Watched the West stream, pretty good broadcast actually.

FMD, talk about making it hard for ourselves, great game of WAFL footy, Claremont started like a German band, dominated the centre breaks and possession, could have been further ahead with better conversion, our 2 late goals proved critical in the end. Second qtr saw us settle and start to control the footy, Much more organised at both ends and Dela started to control the ruck. 3rd qtr was nip and tuck with Cl winning the qtr by a couple of points. At the start of the last we looked like we might have kicked ourselves out of the game but we steadied and ground down a good but tiring Tigers team. Sok with 6 was pivotal, Martin with 3 and Braut with a couple meant we had targets up forward after 1/4 time.

Pretty niggly game, Mitchell was in the Subi boys faces all day, Kitch sorted him out late in the second but Mitchells came back and dumped Kitch with a dangerous tackle which started some argy bargy, we got the free and 50 and goaled. Kich, Sok, Dela, Clark were good, Hickmont did a great job to pretty much take Bolton out of the game, The backs lifted after 1/4 time but were poor in the first as were our mids.

I think both teams will be less than pleased with the umps, hopelessly inconsistent all day, had no idea at all. Commentators constantly referred to it but did say Cl had the rub of the green for most of the game

Great effort to come back from 35pts down, but we cant do that come finals. Cl were without a few and it showed when our fitness saw us dominate the last qtr. Cl look to have found a couple of likely big types in House and Miller.

A good summary SS.  Pleasing also to see Mayo make it through.  This win should go a long way to securing a top 2 spot with games against EF, EP and Peel to come all of which are winnable.

Fun day at the footy. Umps had a shocker. Claremont got the rub of the green and nearly capitalised. Terrible first 20 mins from us. Need to be switched on and thinking team first. Giving away goals is a mug's game.  Mayo promising at times. Thought he'd done his knee again. Sokal best on ground, for mine. Materashad a quiet one. Will hickmont's best game for the club, perhaps.

Claremont reserves impressive. Clinch looked good. Robins was quiet.

Claremont clubrooms were good
good

Poor old Subi you always get such a raw deal from the umps, like every team that plays Claremont every week gets a raw deal it seems, win or loss.

The commentators on The West live stream made those comments about the umps ToOl so not sure why you're so precious. Good game, tough conditions, umps get it wrong on occasions so we move on...no big deal.

Yeah, especially since we won.

At least 3 goals were umpire assists for the Tiges, for mine. 50m, paying marks when ball was touched etc. holding the man was played for the Tiges more than subi. It's funny how it goes like that sometimes. One team gets the rub of the green. One team gets upset and it makes it worse.

Tiges moved the ball very well at times. Some promising young talent. Beaten by a mature side. Thought Robin's tackling was missed at times.

I see Kitch copped a week with a guilty plea for head butting Mitchell. Mitchell has got likewise for a dangerous tackle causing injury. He's lucky he didn't get cited for more as I think there was a fair bit of gouging going on after he brought Kitchin to the ground. The upside is that maybe Golding will get a run although it wouldn't surprise if Wardman and co stick with the known replacements like Menegola.

No love lost between those two, they are experts at getting under opposition players skins.
Surely, now is the time to see what Golding can do, while EF are no walkovers, it's not a huge risk to bring him in for his first game.
