The club is hosting another livestream next Wednesday night at 7pm to answer questions relating to starting the season and current info coming out of the WAFC. Peter Capes, Beau Wardman, Lachie Delahunty and John Townsend will be on the panel which should make for some interesting viewing.

Here's the link if you want to submit questions in advance. I'm sure supporters from other clubs will be welcome as well to get JT's take on the WAFL this year.

Another good session and interesting to hear JT's take on the WAFL this year. It sounds like there's a meeting with the clubs and WAFC on Friday which should shed some light on what the coming season will look like. Potentially no crowds to start with but easing as the state government releases restrictions. An eight game qualifying season with finals finishing in November.

Yes good session BC, JT was a bit guarded at times and obviously has some inside info on why the AFL went from $500mill profits to financial basket case, and why CA is in the dunny financially.

Capesy believes that mid July is likely for a start but no punters allowed, we'll know more after tomorrows meeting unless the WAFC decides to keep it all secret until they check if the AFL is ok with it. I cant see the point of no crowds but Dela was pretty keen to play in any circumstance which is understandable.

When asked, JT was very bullish about keeping the Sandover and premiership cup in play otherwise we might as well call it an exhibition comp. A season is a season whatever it's make up is.

The other interesting question was about clubs being able to live stream their games just using a single cam which is basically how we all watch the game live. JT said that depends on CH7 who hold the broadcast rights and have the final say. Wouldn't it be a great PR thing for 7 to allow the 3 non broadcast games to be live streamed, otherwise it's pot luck if we get radio coverage. Left to the WAFL app to give updates.

Dela mentioned that Upton is training the house down and easily won the time trial, a real training beast apparently, so looking forward to seeing this bloke play, hope we can get to some of the games at least for the last 4 games and finals.

Yep...a good summary SS. It sounds like the players just want to get out there no matter what. Currently training in groups of 20 and from what we heard, they all came back in very good nick which is pleasing. I also want to get my hands on a couple of those dressing gowns Dela was wearing...I emailed the club to see if I can get them through the merchandise store or if not, Gus Litherland's contact details as apparently he gets them made.

STD, just agreeing with everyone else on this site who if we get a season, believes Subi will make the finals and are favourites for the flag, no attitude at all.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Last year some of these guys were criticising Subi fans for false modesty when they were talking about danger games. Now the same people are calling them arrogant for assuming they will make finals? Can't win...
