I tuned in BC, it really was a good insight into what it’s like for everyone involved at the club. I’ll definitely do that again

No they didn't give any definitive numbers MO but Capes did say Subi will get through ok but some other clubs might struggle without naming them.

BC I posed the question to Capes about how the clubs and comps will look like next year suggesting Subi, Perth, CL & EP appeared the only clubs with sufficient resources to get through mostly unscathed, he said SF are also in that group but feared for some of the others. MO I know you or some other SD folk have reported SD will be ok, so add them to the list.

Capes said he didn't think much will change about how the comp progresses but all clubs footy departments will contract as will the admins for the forseeable future, he also said it's a strong possibility that the AFL ressies/aligmnents will be canned and we go back to players being allocated to their WAFL clubs of origin plus a draft for ES players like it used to be.

Great initiative by the club and likely to be repeated on a regular basis.

That leaves only two clubs then...WP and EF....but the stuff I am hearing out of EF, is not all doom and gloom...gee Peel and WCE reserves will lose a few then...especially if all the local boys go back to their original clubs....

Senior, I can’t see it ever going back to AFL players being spread around the WAFL clubs as in the past. Peel will remain with Fremantle but my great fear will be WCE wanting another host club. They won’t have to look far only about 150 metres away. God I hope I’m wrong.

That would be a disaster for the comp and the club that decides to lose their identity by joining with them. Perth are a financially strong club with a new board and admin that appear to be very committed to the D's brand an history so no need for them to take the 30 pieces of silver. Let WC fund their own reserves(they have truckloads of money) or dump it and let their leftovers play amongst the real teams.
