Vincent Capriotti died after being struck by lightning while walking with his "best mate" Juke in a Bayswater park on Tuesday night. Vince was a colts and reserves player for East Perth. He also played for Vic Park / South Perth in the WAFA. He also became an umpire in the Sunday league. His best mate Juke would not leave his side as bystanders and police officers tried in vain to help him after he collapsed at Eric Singleton Bird Sanctuary about 6.20pm.Vince was married with three adult children, he worked at the Centre for Cerebral Palsy in WA.
