While I agree the location and the stadium itself look a million dollars, or should I say a billion dollars, I will reserve my judgment on whether it has been built in the right location. Gone are the days when you could drive to see your AFL team unless you have a relative or good friend that lives nearby and you are able to park there and walk. Even still it will be bloody good walk. Most of us are going to be training it in. When I was a Dockers member for 6 years I had a good little parking spot behind one of the medical practitioners on Cambridge Street and it was about a 15 minute walk to gate 16.

I always went prepared for all kinds of weather and made a judgement when I got out of the car what I wore and sometimes needed to take a small brollie with me for the walk. Hopefully it's all good at the new stadium. And those praising Barnett, don't you think he should have struck a deal with Packer that he kicks in 10 mill plus? Packer will be raking it in once that stadium is open for business.

Hopefully Mark McGowan will give me a heads up where the new train stations are going to be so I can buy some real estate across the road.

There is a massive carpark at Belmont park right next to the stadium, are you blind?

Seeing as I would have chosen the site where it is now almost completed rather than a site that can barely handle 40k now let alone an increase to 60k than BH is the preferred choice...and I would have come a whole lot cheaper too!

Only a deluded fool would suggest upgrading a stadium on its existing site to 60,000 when it can barely handle its current 40,000 capacity and with zero transport upgrades to accommodate the extra traffic!
