Shall we go back to the 2007 election campaign where both major parties went to the election supporting an ETS. What happened to the concept of a mandate after that election? Of course we could go back to the behaviour of the Senate post-1972 and post-1974 elections. The base hypocrisy of any Liberal or National Party member of the Australian Parliament complaining about the Senate is just mind-boggling.

Bazza M Turnbull's personal beliefs are so at odds with what his party believes in are so far apart that he is completely and utterly a moral bankrupt.

Turnbull campaiagned on a pelbisite on gay matrraige won and your mob still blocked it,,,talk about moral bankrupts.

We need a system like the UK, its illegal for the upper house to block any Act of Parliament that a party runs as part of its political manefesto at an election.

I'd be very carefull here if I was you,Bazza.Whilst I won't be running to the Lesbian and Gay folk, telling 'em how evil you are ;) ,it's amazing how one phrase or sentence can attract an audience you never expected,on this footy forum.

How long before the Lubs come apart at the seams here,Bazz?

A lot of Conservatives, are getting very nervous right now, about where there party is really heading.

Don't think Bernadi's the only one.Do you?

Actually, yeah I do think hes the only one. And hes a nobody that will fade away...

Two can play this game. The ALP campaigned for an ETS in the 2007 federal election and the Liberals also campaigned on an ETS on the 2007 election. WHY didn't the Liberals support the ALP's mandate and vote for the ALP's legislation on an ETS?

Our ETS is better than Your's.So we're not going to Pass your Legislation. Not without a few Amendments from the House of Review.Or should that be Revue?! :silly:

It is just base hypocrisy. I am just watching a WA Liberal Senator who has the absolute gall and temerity to complain about not having their legislation passed in the Senate. My response to her is look back to the 1972-75 Senate and the Senate post 2007 election.

She also just LIED about the WA ALP's renewable energy target and the reason behind the SA recent blackout. By the way the liar's name is Senator Linda Reynolds.

For a second there,Linda Evans' name flashed across the mind.Flashback to Down and Out in Beverly Hills. :silly:

But I had Dear 'ole Mathias or that up herself Madam Prefect,Michaelia pegged to jump up and down about this. But no,it's Linda Evans, err I mean,Linda Reynolds.

She stated that the WA ALP had a 50% renewable target ==> NOT TRUE it was aLIE

She said the SA blackout was because of renewable targets in SA ==> NOT TRUE

For the record an aluminium smelter had to shut down in NSW to prevent blackouts in NSW.
