BC you are for more optimistic about Trump's intentions than most I suspect.

Was just informed that this was a refugee swap.Australia is taking 1250 Central American refugees.
Have been a big supporter of Trump but he does need to advised before making decisions.
To claim that Australia is one of those country's that takes advantage of the USA is just not true.We follow the US all over the world on policing actions. And in terms of trade after our purchase of military equipment. And heavy machinery for mining and farming. In terms of trade we give them $3 for every $1 they give us.One of the reason Joe Hockey has received so many good will messages from Americans.

And a bloody mess created by one person only and that is Trump. The deal was made in good faith by 2 (at the time) friendly Governments and was signed off by both countries heads of states. What Trump is doing is spitting in the Australian governments face and therefore doing the same to the Australian people. Turnbull, while familiar with Trumps public rants and ramblings would have expected some level of respect and civility from another head of state but to get the school yard bully boy tactics from Trump would not have been expected or in any way acceptable. Trump could have put his pov on the deal in a firm yet respectful way without being a complete dickhead and then hanging up on another nations leader, and a nation that is and has been one of the USA's closest most loyal allies. The Republican establishment were incredulous at his actions and were the ones who leaked the info about the call so the press then had the opportunity to get stuck into this degenerate and as a warning that the next time he does something similar they will leak embarrassing info every time he does and make his hold on the presidency evermore tenuous.

this was a deal between an outgoing president and Australia in which the US virtually is on a hiding to nothing. I don't blame Trump one little bit for pushing back but agree he should have been more statesmanlike in his dealings with MT.

SS I am not sure what the last thing we agreed on!!! Whilst I am no great fan of Turnbull Trump needed to show respect to a (YES) duly elected leader of the Australian government. His behaviour just continues to affirm how disgraceful he is and why he is so unsuited to being President of the United States. About the only positive that may come from this is that we won't ave to a worry about him visiting Australia.

Most positive thing to come out of all this, is that the hypocritical, soft c**k PC elite are now easily identified.
