One has to "admire" the CCI of WA for opposing any increase to the wages of the lowest paid workers in this state as reported in today's West. Could someone please provide a link to any article where the CCI WA has been critical of the ever increasing pay for top executives? I could not seem to find an article where the CCI WA was critical of such pay increases.

Your on to something there Swan.It just amazes me how many hats the Cci wears. They claim they represent small business by cutting penelty rates in hospitality. But want big business to have unlimited trading hours which will destroy small business.
To me there nothing more than a special interest group. They dont want to run for parliment but want the run of the place.

They got around us with Extended and Sunday Trading Hours, despite a Resounding NO to both.

We can thank the major parties fir that,by crawling into bed with each other, thus betraying the WA Electorate.

But perversely,we can also thank them for not touching Daylight Saving with a Barge Pole.Despite the CI's urgings,5 Thrashings to the Yes Campaign has seen the issue, hopefully permanently put to bed.

That won't stop the CI from having several more goes though. :woohoo:

On the daylight savings issue I am all for it, as the majority of people in Perth voted for it, only the country hicks f##ked it with their old fashioned short sightedness

You must be happy with Mathias Cormann's endorsement of Bill Shorten Swan42 lol. What a dill and this joker is Minister for Finance. He must be putting an extra zero on here and there when writes the cheques for the various departments and travelers cheques for his cohorts.

I think Cormann voted Abbot in the leadership spill, as indeed he should have being a cabinet minister. Perhaps this could explain his 'endorsement' of Bill Shorten?

It is a pity that the lowest paid in the state will not receive a decent pay rise, all the more so, as such an increase would help the economy along. Despite, historically low interest rates, the CCI seems to have forgotten that the economy is very sluggish all things considered.

It is a problem of aggregate demand not aggregate supply.

Piss off swan. I voted against it, from the city, university educated and just don't like it. Your the type who name call and take their bat home when they don't get their own way. West Aussies have voted against it 3 time that I can remember and probably more often than that - but sooks never take the answer.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!
