Reports of the disappearance of the Member for Swan, Steve Irons,ha ve been premature; he is alive. I have just seen him ask a question of the soon to be sacked Treasurer, Joe Hockey, relating to the electors of Canning during question time in the House of Representatives. What a pity he doesn't seem to have any interest in the electors of his own electorate of Swan.

You have far too much time on your hand if you are watching Parliament. Get a bike, go for a ride, or even a walk. Watching Parliament will make you better and twisted a bit like supporting swans :p

It was an interesting comparison between question time and the Republic Presidential candidates debate earlier in the day.

Not as a rule Kirbs; but I do think it is reasonable to be informed to be able to have a rational discussion. I just happened to have the day off so the opportunity was there. It is the same reason why I watch AFL 360. It is why I know that N Fyfe was the AFLPA MVP winner for the second year. I believe he is only one of a select few that have won consecutive MVP awards. How did I find that out? Well I believe about 50 minutes into the programme they happened to mention the fact that he won the award in the context of making a comment about his hair and him apparently getting a hair cut. It allows me to have an informed discussion with people like A/man. It also allows me to know that G Whately said on tonight's AFL 360 programme he is unsure whether Hawthorn will be able to be competitive in the 2015 AFL GF! Note there was no qualification about whether Hawthorn may or may not make the GF.

But that wasn't at the forefront of my mind, with my last post Bazza.

Disappointed?
