I suspect if McMahon wasnt at Claremont you wouldnt have started this thread!

30plusyeardrought I'm assuming you were on footygoss, remember on the East Perth forum a gentleman came on warning people about defaming a couple of East Perth supporters? He was a well known Perth QC who was asked to look into what was being said/written.
Very little being written/said on the Perth forum is attempting to be funny/factual, it's mostly vitriol. Cartoonists can get away with mocking people because there is no malice involved.
We all need to tone down what we write, as I've stated before I include myself. We can keep being critical about Walton & WAFC, but we have to tone it down. That said, have a good day.

Well that has nothing to do with you if you have a problem report the post to the moderator or use the ignore function simples.

If I'me being silly why is mikeUX1 taking action? Moderators have legal responsiblities, if they fail their duty then they are subject to the law. MikeUX1 is being very prudent.
waflonline was shut down for a reason, not because the WAFC/WAFL didn't care, the way it was being used. The moderators on both sites were the prime reason for it heading that way.
That said, all the best.

Time for a flag correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't PFC have an online forum for their supporter's and closed it down?

You clown. TFAF is spot on and I know the real reason wafl online shut down. Firstly they didn't like criticism of their own and secondly the Perth CEO put pressure on them to shut it down because they didn't like people posting "their opinion" on the coach and those who appointed him and gave him numerous contract extensions. Which by the way, the criticism proved to be justified. It makes the likes of you and other whingers look pathetic. As has been stated, we never heard boo from you before McMahon landed at the Tigers. Laughable

Exactly, game over for you. If you believe in McMahon so much why don't you push for him to take over your successful colts side and see how he goes?

Who said I believe in him? You've completely missed the point of this thread. That said, have great day.

Not close ,FG shut down because the owners of the site couldn't give a toss, and decided to let it go bust. They didn't bother to try to control the spam that was occurring there. There were a couple from the PFC, who allowed their personal opinions get personal between each other. I think Jimmy maybe correct that there is a certain poster here, who was a major problem on both sites. I may be wrong and if I am I do apologise, but I think I am right.
The WAFL site was closed down because some poster became very, very, personal in their attacks on each other.
I know that myself and another were suspended from the site for our posts.
The same thing could happen here if we aren't careful. I am not sure that the attacks on McMahon were of the nature that happened on FG and WAFL, but we have to be careful of what we say.
I would hate to see the genuine posters, once again be left without a good site for the West Australians to comment on. We lost two sites because of petty squabbling and I am sure that if it all happens again Mike will close the site down. He wont need the trouble that will come with it.
I like Mikes idea, and I for one fully back him and his stance. I have no problem giving him my name and e-mail address.
There is also your self to think about, do you have a good lawyer, do you have an endless supply of money?
Are you prepared to spend time in court defending yourself?

Anchorman I know for certain a very well known QC took an interest in Footygoss after EP had had enough of their supporters being targeted, a couple complained after they were singled out standing next to the old toilet block and accused of something they had not done by a couple of posters. The QC took a look and engaged in the forum. I found that amusing as I knew who he was and to have posters lecture him on freedom of speach and how defamation doesn't apply was something to behold.
Waflonline was closed down as DD/demonsden/whitedm said, Perth footy club had enough and challenged the WAFC/WAFL to clean up or close their site. A tad embarrassing if the PFC had ever decided to take waflonline to court, WAFC/WAFL looked into it and agreed, is my understanding. Whether that court action would have eventuated, probably not, but the moderator failed in his duty, and in fact led the charge.

And heard some time ago that both sites slowly lost members as time went on and had a small number of posters towards the end. That would be another reason both sites fell over. If a much larger group of people had regularly posted, both sites may be still operating perhaps? But with only a small number of people participating and then some comments becoming too personal and unpleasant, is a bad environment.
Unclear what happened to the Wafl club forums? They still have not returned to the respective Wafl club webpages. It appears they have been lost too.
