While we’ve all pointed the finger at Sydney and Gladys they are now leading the nation by a country mile in vaccination rates with a very impressive 73% fully vaxed, a whopping 15% better than Victoria and 22% better than WA. And it's no coincidence their daily Covid cases have dropped to below 500 while Victoria is heaving at nearly 2000 cases a day.

Time for the rest of the nation to wake up and catch up

Both NSW & Vic have had high vax rates but thats only in response to the fact that they cant control the virus so people have seen the desperate need to get vaxed. Over here and in Qld, many dont see the need to rush out and get vaxed due to no or very few cases and the fact that we are floating along relatively care free with few if any restrictions.

Emperor McGoo is keeping things locked down tight as he and his incompetent health minister are shitting his pants that Delta wont get a hold in WA because if it did, the health system will collapse like the badly stacked pack of cards that it is.
It's inevitable that Delta will get in, so I hope McGoo and Cooked are spending some of that enormous surplus getting the health system at least up to some level of efficiency, at the moment it cant even cope with a non covid situation.

Yep NSW and Vic have really high vax rates and I wonder why, really easy to answer actually, simply why are we falling behind, politics mmm a bit but it is like the WA app usuage slack cos we are not under any threat.

Apportioning blame on the Government is a bit silly when you, me and everyone else has the responsibility for the decision to get the jab fairly and squarely in our heads.

Don't know why you guys are saying Vic has high vax rates, they don't. They are only 7% ahead of us and 15% behind NSW.

Let’s not forget that for a while, WA surgeries (eg Swan Medical) we’re only receiving 50 doses per week.  Obviously some people were put off and couldn’t be bothered.
Interesting article yesterday where Dom Parrot was claiming that NSW was leading the country out of the pandemic.

Well they put us in it this time - so why not.

Id take WA's approach with no cases, no lockdowns and low vax rate over NSW which is the opposite. Pretty sure the familes of those that died in the recnt outbreaks dont give a rats ass about their amazing vax rate.

Given our situation panic is not going to work so what will, perhaps an incentive that if we have this rate by 31 december then travel in and out for fully vaccinated folk will be allowed with some minor conditions.

There are a lot of people here who won’t get jabbed and want things to stay as they are now because they don’t want babies etc to catch it

Well done on NSW riding it out.

Vaccination Rates have been outstanding and at huge speed.

This is the absoluite key to normallity.

WA on the other hand is LAST in the nation STILL - Mcgowans been hopeless in rolling this out.

Make it mandatory for Public Sector workers and speed it up.

The open up policy is the way to go once you get to 70% plus - with no turning back.

Meanhwile its 2047 Mark McGowans on a zimmer frame and our borders are still closed with us sitting on a 89.99% vax rate.
