How much longer can Labors unions factions keep protecting Cook?

Mate he's the anointed one once McGoo pulls the pin to take an overpaid cushy job with one of his big business buddies.

This is systemic failure and by convention the Minister should resign. Don't hold your breath though.

What a singularly quaint notion in the context of contemporary Australian politics.

By the way hasn't the CAHS Board Chair resigned?

Yes and so should Cook. In the Westminster system the relevant Minister is responsible for abject failures such as the one plaguing our health system. McGoo should do the right thing and bring in someone who can do the job.

Why the government has a lot to do on hospital ramping. Not sure you can point the finger at the health minister on this.4 Doctors phoned up sick Easter Saturday at PCH.No replacement Doctors where found to replace those absent Doctors.

Does the principle of ministerial responsibility only apply for those on the Labor side of politics?  For example, which minister resigned for paying $30 million for land that was worth only $3 million associated with the second Sydney airport?

What’s quaint is your slavish devotion to the red flag

Well Sean.  This is an all time low even for you.  How can you compare ministerial responsibility for the unnecessary death of a young girl, very sick people being tended to by ambos for up to 12 hours because there's no ED beds, health professionals leaving jobs in droves due to stress and over work, and hospitals waving the white flag and saying "no more patients because we're full" to paying overs for a bit of land?  Unbelievable.....

EXCEPT I didn't BC; the comparison is all in your own projection.   What I pointed out was the base hypocrisy of some who talk about selective ministerial responsibility.
