So the Greens failed to win a seat in either house. Does that mean Brad Pettit is jobless or did he say I'll only resign as Mayor of Fremantle if I win my seat? Now he's declared he's a Greenie I wonder how that might affect the next Mayoral election? Probably strengthen it down that part of the world., not that that was any great secret.
The final seats in the Legislative Council regions are yet to be determined at the moment.  According to Antony Green's blog the WAEC have not counted the BTL (below the line) votes as yet.  This may impact on who wins those final seats.

The Pot party look like gaining a seat, Liam Bartlett got her on, asked her about her policies, she had none bar legal pot, she sounded half stoned anyway.

First thing Sneakers needs to do with all this power is scrap the preference whispering and ensure clowns with a handfull of votes cant scam seats with reward fees paid to whisperer.

Baz, if he does away with the preferential voting the non metro population will be up in arms as their vote would only count as one and not the one point something it does currently.
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

Antony Green thinks that there should be some reform in that area.  Of course, reform of the Legislative Council would need to redress the imbalance between country and metro regions as well.

It would probably mean a requirement to number a certain number of candidates rather than just putting a 1 above the line.

Apart from me of course, do others think that some of the swing in the state election will transfer over to the next federal election here in WA?  Morrison appeared to lose Campbell Newman today.

What Morrison did today and in the last two weeks is bizarre to say the least.  Morrison could have said last week with respect to the inquiry he called to find out who knew what and when in his office, that it had been temporarily suspended on police advice.  He could have explained that the suspension was due to a desire not to compromise any potential criminal proceedings. Instead he tried to be tricky and imply that the investigation was continuing when the previous week he had been told it had been suspended.

This is an absolute disgrace and Mr McGoo and Minister Cook need to be called out. There is no covid emergency in WA so why is this happening? From The West.

"WA’s health system has reached an unprecedented breaking point, with two of Perth’s major hospitals declaring a code yellow, unable to take in all patients who present to their emergency departments.

Patients presenting with life-threatening injuries are still being treated by hospital staff.

Australian Medical Association WA president Andrew Miller said Royal Perth and Sir Charles Gairdner hospitals had declared code yellow internal emergencies — with Murdoch’s Fiona Stanley Hospital nearing the code yellow threshold.

“The situation in emergency departments in WA is dire at the moment with two of our major hospitals being on code yellow, which means internal emergency,” Dr Miller said.

“For a number of days they’ve been gridlocked and patients who are having the most intense form of care in emergency departments — resuscitation care — are being looked after in corridors.”

Regional WA deserves a voice in the upper house.

Otherwise does that also mean WA and Tasmania should lose its equal say in the federal senate compared to NSW and Vic?

The principal is the same.
