Well it was anything but Presidential which was to be expected when school yard bullies like Trump are involved. He continually shouted over Biden and refused to follow the mediators instructions, not sticking to time limits etc. Always turning towards Biden to point and throw personal insults and bring up past history around Bidens son, most of which he got wrong (read as lied about) it was an absolute shambles. Biden at least addressed the viewers/voters straight down the camera and showed them some level of respect.

Biden will never set the world on fire but at least he showed the American people some respect in the way he presented himself. Neither candidate really took the issues by the horns, but Trump missed a massive opportunity to actually address issues in detail and change his failing tactics of lies and personal abuse, in doing so he will not claw back any of the significant lead that Biden has. I'm sure the republican machine will try it's best to change Trumps approach, because what worked against Clinton last time is now tired and seen for what it is, bullying and lieing to cover up all his deficiencies.

Trump has 2 more debates to change his tack or he's done and dusted, lets hope he stays on his current trajectory to defeat.

Yes it highlighted what a rude, arrogant narcissistic bully he is. Biden's performance certainly wasn't a standout that would have attracted swinging voters, but Trump's will almost certainly push people away. CNN interviewed undecided voters in Ohio and almost all weren't impressed by Trump's constant interruptions, insults and personal attacks on Biden. Most commentators were scathing with the exception of that idiot Sean Hannity on Fox News.

Chris Wallace is the biggest story out of the debate, Biden was weak but without the moderator to protect him he would have been obliterated.

Wallace's credibility is totally shot and will be news fodder for the next week. Great for Trump at the next debate as Wallace will be forced to over compensate.

Trump wants to tear the democratic apart, forcing Biden to openly reject the green new deal and claim he is the democratic party will light some fires.

Biden was forced to lie about Hunter Biden, his support for the Green New Deal, support for law enforcement - the whole premise Trump was elected on was draining the swamp. There is nobody swampier than Biden.

We already knew Trump was an arrogant prick, no surprises there.

Correct tuggers...Wallace was very ordinary for not pulling Trump into line and threatening to turn his microphone off if he kept on interrupting. After an hour and a quarter he finally had a crack at Trump but by that time the whole thing had turned into a shambles thanks to his orangeness. Trump used similar tactics against Hilary Clinton but was even worse this time around and his performance has been lambasted by just about every news network around the world. Trump brought up Hunter Biden and Joe was open and admitted he had a drug problem but was over it and is fine. Its a good thing Biden was more of a statesman and didn't get stuck into Trump's family as we 'd still be tuning in not to mention the Trump appointed government officials, military, other Republicans and even his own niece who have turned against him. He's a pathological liar and will probably be charged with tax evasion amongst other things when it's all done and dusted.

With a bit of luck Trump will follow his own advice and inject himself with disinfectant....or maybe when summer comes the virus will "just disappear" and him with it....and sure the 2 top medical experts in the US including the head of CDC were confused and got it wrong when they said a vaccine wouldn't be rolled out to the populace until the middle of next year. Trump or eminent scientists?...I know who I believe. And what about climate change where he specifically mentioned the California bushfires which he say's is the fault of local authorities for not reducing ground litter, did the idiot not stop to think that most of the areas being ravaged is on federal land which is under his administration's control?...unbelievable...heaven helps us all in the unlikely event this moron gets 4 more years.

it is amazing how many aussie tories all of a sudden support socialism and greenism; none of you would vote for Biden in a fit in Australia. You need to think about that if you really had to make a choice between the two men. For the Americans, the choice is not a false one, the people would have to live with the result.

Wallace just needs to enforce the two minute rule by literally stopping the debate until they both shut up; even if there are what may seem embarrassing pauses.

As I said to 'gtr' once, I would never vote for Biden because of his corruption.

In the half hour I saw I was surprised to not see any of Bidens Alzheimers. Either he had a pep me up or he hasn't got Alzheimers. I was sure he had after watching my Mother go that way. Still loves his "Come on man" and "Here's the plan" but I admit not as bad as normal yesterday.

Saying that all Trump has to do is ask - Where are the shit hole city's - who runs them - Answer - Democrat run city. Even my "I'm a bit of a lefty" (said with pride, would you believe) brother is embarrassed about his liberal - Democrat (Not the same as the Australian Liberal Party) team.
