Over the last few months millions of us have mad sacrifice's and taken Covid seriously, we have tried to follow the guidelines as much as we could.

We have missed funerals, we gave up Anzac Day, some of us lost jobs, many of us have taken financial hits, we stayed at home, people were refused religious attendance over Easter, closed businesses and of course none of us have gone to the footy.

And then on the weekend 1000s gathered in a mass gathering to "protest" in complete ignorance and defiance of health warnings.

What exactly has been the point of all this??? the governments have lost all credibility with the restrictions and I would be supportive now of any business that totally ignored restrictions.

Spot on. So why am I unable to go to a footy match? If I was at the age and I got together with a bunch of my mates to play touch footy, rugby or whatever would I get fined? Hopefully not, as these idiots got away with it.

Its all BS, there isn't a single thing anyone here can do about the US legal system or what ever issues they have.

And to say its an urgent protest about Black Deaths in custody here is utter tripe, 81% of people that die in custody are non Aboriginal and there is an exhaustive procedure to investigate each death in custody. On top of that we have just had the annual "sorry" day, a whole annual week of reconciliation week, we have a whole week of NAIDOC or is it two, its not like theres no other platform.

And one has to be asking why the mainstream media is being sucked in by keeping these blm protests in the public gaze? Those protests are nothing more than shit stirring activities by the organisers. And simply cashing in on the US issues. The current Floyd protests in the US have no relevance here.

They seem to be seeking attention to the inherent racism and prejudice in Australia, which has been well documented over the past 100 years (at least).

The so called defunding of police as suggested by the Dems is a joke. When some prick is coming through your window with a knife or worse who are the poor buggers in the house supposed to call? a community policing group? yeah right. I couldn't imagine being a cop in the US with their gun laws. Without justifying the bad eggs in US police, your every day copper would be going into situations with the full knowledge that the person or persons they're going to come into contact with could legally be carrying a firearm....stuff that.
