Well the seasons finished and now the focus is on exit interviews and deciding who will stay and go ahead of the 2020 season.

With Sandilands, Ballantyne, Kersten and Bennell either retiring or being delisted already and the more likely than not departures of Langdon and Bradley Hill there is already six potential spots available on the list.

Fremantle have picks 6, 24 and 78. We don't currently have a third or fourth round pick.

I think we have done enough trading of players into the club over the last 2-3 years and it wouldn't hurt to go back to the draft for a year or two. Even with Langdon and Hill probably leaving. According to the recruiters and draft experts the depth of this years group is meant to be better than next years. With WA winning the State 18's it is also likely to see a few of those boys drafted inside the first two rounds.

If I was the footy boss I'd look at potentially doing something like this.

1. Trade Brad Hill to the Saints for pick 5.

2. Trade Ed Langdon to the Demons for pick 20.

3. Trade picks 6 and 24 to the Eagles for picks 14, 22 and 32.

4. Trade picks 5 and 32 to the Giants for picks 11 and 13.

5. Trade pick 14 to the Crows for picks 21 and 26.

We end up with picks 11, 13, 20, 21, 22, 26 and 78.

With those first six picks you would think that it gives us a reasonable chance at picking up three or four of the WA U18's boys.

Well Stephen Hill has just signed on for two more years dispelling those rumours emanating from the east over the past couple of months. Given his soft tissue history I found it hard to see why another club would peruse him given he must be around 30 years of age now or thereabouts. Hopefully he has a good pre season and gets over his quad and calf issues.

Just extract the maximum for Brad Hill and Ed Langdon if they want to go, get Tim Kelly and as much of that elite talent out of the WA u/18s championship winning side.

Terrible move by Freo giving Steven Hill 2 years. He looked right out of sorts in the few games he played this year and I don't think he will get his body back. Another Bennell
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

I think they brought him back to early this year. His body was clearly underdone.

Change up the medical and fitness department and maybe we might get 16 plus games out of Stephen next year.

On Tim Kelly. Yes he’s a good player but he has good players around him at Geelong.

I don’t think Fremantle should be selling the house to get him in.

Terrible post comparing a club first round draft pick who’s been loyal to Fremantle comparing him with Harley Bennell. You are a disgrace. Don’t you think he would be on a low base so he will have to be playing to earn his money?

Not trade related but I do think it was a mistake moving out of Fremantle. Yes we got new facilities in Cockburn but I just feel like we have lost a part of our identity by moving.

Allegedly the Fremantle Council were difficult to deal with but if the opportunity presented itself I wouldn't mind the club looking at the option of being based back in Fremantle.

DD, I am not saying anything bad about the character of Stephen Hill or Harley Bennell and yes Stephen has been very loyal. I am saying I don't think he will get on the park much during the next two years. You really do go in with all guns blazing.

Why wouldn’t they just give Stephen Hill a one year contract at this stage? If he manages to find fitness again somehow then give him another year. And it’s not just Fremantle, AFL clubs seem to hand out contracts like confetti sometimes.

They aren't moving back anytime soon Too. I just think they shouldn't have moved out of Fremantle.

In saying that though St Kilda moved to Seaforth and didn't last long before moving back to Moorabbin.
