Guys when we beat Geelong (who are floundering) next week followed by the Saints and Essendon making the 8 will be even sweeter. We will finish 8th and the Eagles 1st. Freo win their first 2 finals and then meet WC in the Preliminary at home. That is a given win and we are home against Brisbane in the GF. All Sweet.

I think it will take quite a few years for Freo to recover from what has transpired since 2016 whether Lyon is there or not. The culture of accepting or talking around mediocrity that seems to have evolved over the last few years isn't going to go away any time soon. A few decent wins seems to paint over the cracks in Lyon's eyes but the structural deficiencies are still evident when you look at the fact that when they lose, they lose big and that's a worry.

You just don't know BC.Look at what Teague has done at Carlton.Ross has got all he can out of them but another coach might have more luck.

Shane Kersten will this week walk from Fremantle after a split with coach Ross Lyon.
AFL.com.au understands Kersten and Lyon's relationship has been fractured for some months and dates back to a confrontation following the departure of Lachie Neale to Brisbane.
Paperwork is expected to be finalised in coming days for an immediate release.

Well Kirsten’s no great loss but the real story might be Harley Bennell who’s gone to Brisbane to see a “Calf Guru” who has removed scar tissue and sewn him back up and he’s going back in a month for surgery on the left calf. It raises questions over how Fremantle have handled Harley’s calf problems. They sent him to Germany, were they unaware of this calf guru here in Australia?

If he manages to make a full recovery and go on to play 100 games at another AFL club then heads must roll at the Fremantle FC though by then the horse will have bolted. I sincerely hope for the best for Harley but I’ll be spewing if his latest treatment after departing Fremantle is successful and he displays those talents at another AFL club.

Lyon is not the only issue at the Dockers. I think there needs to be changes at the board and management level as well. Peter Bell as CEO perhaps?

PB just had his contract extended as football operations manager until 2022.
