Anchor it was said that Rory was pissed that Freo or WCE didn't pick him up in the first place.I think he's well worth the big investment he will cost Freo.Strong overhead mark, good kick. Can work well with Cox + Aprness if Sandi not available.

I believe he would be a great selection for us as well.I like the way he plays the game.

A strong marking big fwd/ruck can change the whole dynamic at Freo. The way they move the ball and it what direction.Bit like what Ben Browne has done for North Melbourne.

With Sandilands, Darcy, Apeness, Taberner, Meek, Strnadica, Dixon, Jones et al on their list one would think the last thing they would need is another ruckman-forward?!?!

If my memory serves me right, we were putting the carrot out to him a couple of years back.He is still under contract to the Giants, but we all know that contracts don't mean much any more.
I wonder could he be lured home!!

Is there any reason why he would want to leave the Giants? He has a number of ex-Swans playing there with him. I am not sure whether you know much about him. From what I know I am not sure that he would necessarily be one of the guys that homesickness plays an important role in coming back to Perth.

Would be a perfect fit at Freo partnered with Darcy. That would be a very strong and versatile ruck division. However he is contracted so we would need to pay overs as we will for any good player outside the club.

He seems to be injured more often than he is on the park A/man. Do we need another Harley Bennell or the ex Peel product that was a high draft pick from Essendon? Can't remember his name. Maybe what we need is a development coach who values ruckmen and key forwards? You would think David Hale is a perfect coach to develop what we've already got as BH has pointed out.

We don't need another broken down player clogging the list. The right time to get him was a few years ago.
Get on your bike.

What's the attraction of going to Fremantle?

Jones has impressed me when I have seen him in the AFL and the WAFL. He competes well and takes a good contested mark. I reckon he can do the job of partnering with Darcy when Sandilands retires. I know this is a long shot but surely it would be worth at least enquiring about Tom Lynch.I know he is 99% going back to Victoria but he would be the sort of guy who would kick 50- 60 goals in a season and be able to bring the small forwards into the game. Unlikely but worth a shot I reckon.
