Really thought Freo would respond a lot better after half time.They did but not enough to suggest that the coach has the players 100% loyalty.As unholytugboat stated Brad Hill was the only 4 quater player.Who battled hard all day but just had no forward targets to kick to.We will see how this season goes and i hope its better from here.But it looked like the Dockers from the 1990"s a club with no cash,players,facilities or coach.

The worrying aspect is that they were having a crack. They tried pretty hard most of the day but very poor skills absolutely killed them. I dont mind so much us losing with a lot of kids playing, but they aren't playing. Lets have a good look at the rest and see what we need at the end of the year. I'm thinking its quite a lot.

I hate to say it but I think Ross Lyons philosophy's are outdated. In last night's presser he rolled out the usual lines which just don't wash anymore. The game has changed dramatically in the past few years since the 2013 GF with rule changes designed to speed the game up and reduce stoppages and ugly footy.

The game now requires players with elite skill and running ability and play a confident brand of football. For Ross to say things like "these things are easily fixed" doesn't wash with me. If that is the case then why isn't it already addressed? I mean we had a horror season last year which you can make excuses for but there are no excuses this time around.

The players don't look like they are playing with any real purpose and I question whether they believe in Ross Lyon's messages anymore.

If the players are going out with the mindset to training its all about effort and the skills will take care of themselves then they are kidding themselves and the coach is sending them the wrong message.

What Ross has done over a number of years is exactly what Malthouse did, pretend he was better than everyone else and accountable to no one. Above it all. All of his press conferences are plagued with smug arrogance.

Was the worst performance I have seen by a Fremantle team in years. They can't hit targets and poor skill execution, decision making and turnovers cost us at the business end of the season in 2013, 2014 and 2015. This issue still has not been addressed.

It would be interesting to know whether Ross has a clause in his contract that if we were to sack him then would there already be a pre arranged payout figure. If there wasn't then it could be very costly to pay someone out for the remaining 3 - 3.5 years of a contract.
