By the way A/man do you feel as though you are talking to yourself when it comes to the Dockers on this forum?

Looks as though Sandi is out for a bit longer after re injuring his hammy.. so Sheahan & co may well just be on the money..

Another example of you being so one eyed. I am surprised you dont support the eagles....

My point is this, majority of dockers fans are realistic, and dont get ahead of themselves....namely due to our poor track record. Not sure why you are getting on Sheahan's back? He is an astute commentator (has been for years) and is entitled to his opinion. Plus who knows, he may be correct.

The way I see it is that there are about 12-13 teams who could easily make the 8. That means there are at least 5 good strong sides who will miss the 8. I would not be surprised to see teams like Adelaide, Fremantle, Carlton, etc miss the 8, because the Comp is THAT CLOSE.

See my previous comments about how quickly the Dockers season could turn bad........all it takes is a drop in form from 5 or so player, and before you know it you are gone.

Also notes as well that the worst TV commentator Dwayne Russell has also left us out of his top eight.
I am lucky enough to have Foxtel at home, and have written to them to express my concerns of the lack of commentators, or football experts, from out side Victoria on all shows.I think that now that it is an Australian wide competition as well, that there should be more out of Victorians giving comment or their opinions there.
but on the same subject of commentators I am pleased that we do not have to put up with that buffoon Jakovich any more.The other commentators used to take the urine out of him and he didn't even realise.But the old saying good riddance to bad rubbish.

Fair call...sheahan is an overated hack IMHO. Wrote off the Cats very early in 2011, ended up with egg on his face (as id that other tossa David King) The quality and so called knowledge of footy experts is crap. Unka2 I think that Mark Maclure has picked the Eagles and the Dockers to finish 1st and 2nd respectively. Notwithstanding the above for anyone to try to argue that the Victorian media is not Victorian- centric and gives barely passing recognition to non-Victorian palyers is one that can't be won. A simple example how many players have been accorded legend status who have no association with the AFL/VFL? Surely someone of Billy Walker's status, Haydon Bunton Jnr's status or John Todd's status (to give three examples from a Swans's perspective and even allowing for Todd's coaching of the Eagles) should be afforded that honour. Not one of them and there are several other examples within the WAFL and similarly the SANFL that could be found.

I could go on but I believe I have proved my point already.

A/man thanks for that - I certainly enjoy our discussions. We may not agree on much but at least we are able to have a reasonable discussion. I am afraid that my view and support of the Dockers has very much been diminished due to the AFL reserves' situation in the WAFL. Unfortunately there is very little difference in the attitude of the Dockers compared with the Eagles. I would also point out that the Dockers' reputation and support has been damaged by several other people I have spoken to due to the treatment of the WAFL by the AFL teams.

As for talking to yourself - there is only cause for concern if you lose the argument with yourself. Good luck to the Dockers in the derby - they are still the lesser of the two evils.

Don't like defending Prictorians, but a lot of them are very bullish on the Eagles this year. I don't see any bias there.......yet!

Og course Vic media is vic centric, as wa media has a chip on its shoulder agsint anything from "over east". I dont deny either the footballers you mentioned should be accredited legend staus. ALAS pre a national comp, the major league was Victorian, so its hard form them to appreciate the many fine players that played in either the wafl or sanfl.Its an old discussion point. Reckon sanfl cared about the wafl?

The AFL Hall Of Fame is a deadset Victorian Biased Joke!! Some of those Vics already in there couldnt carry Todd, Bunton, Naylor, McIntosh, Michael et al's bag to the ground as footballers but alas those boys didnt play in the "supposed" big league!
