Biggest loss under Ross lyon today. whats happening ( something for sure) Suma gone president gone! Even Michael Walters looks "off" Essendon lost 12 players yet still seem to have a dip. Has Lyon lost the players?.... what do you guys think??

I think the trend over the last few weeks has been that Fremantle have competed strongly for a quarter to a quarter and a half and then fallen away drastically after that. The same happened today. It appears that there are some players who are not wanting to be there and that attitude can quickly spread through the group and break down the team work.
It seems amazing to me that a team can drop so far that quickly. Lyon admitted a couple of weeks ago that the team are not as fit as they have been in previous seasons because more of their pre season was focused on the change of game plan which was a massive failure. Their off season will start at 5pm next Sunday and I would be surprised if the planning for 2017 has not started a month or more ago

Ok another Freo thread , no doubt some of the players out there today know they are gone at seasons end Mayne,Ibbo,Clarke,Ballantyne to name a few possibly more, that don't give a shit.

Walters would be in our top three in the f/b ,he still worked hard today 20 possessions probably his worst game of the year.

Despite the crap about Fyfe he ain't going anywhere no doubt there's a few players that don't like him that's ok they won't be there next year anyway.

Atm I see a team lacking confidence the old game plan is out the door and you can see them having trouble getting used to the new one, Lyon has already stated its his fault for taking a step back from preseason training and he blames himself for that but you already knew that Unka.

The pre season was focussed on skills and less on fitness hence why we havnt run out a game after half time we have been in every game for a half also playing a heap of young kids doesn't help running out games, no doubt worse performance of the year today.

I have no doubt we'll bounce back next year if we are in this position same time next year I'll have reason to worry but fmd first year off a rebuild and people post these topics.

surely they would consider trading Fyfe if the right players & picks were put up as trade bait? It would be the only way to get 2-3 quality young players into the side. -And I mean proven young AFL players not guys who could potentially be ok players like tabener and apeness

its all about currency!

What other player could they possibly trade for a couple of big name kids?? if there talking about turning over 10+ on the list and being competitive in the near future, they need multiple future stars.

It could be possible for the right deal, would have to be very good. The other factor is Fyfes recent injuries that should be considered because of the way he plays, he probably wont have a long career. Its a two way street, he looks at his choices with Free Agency and the club should look at theirs. Personally think he is staying.

Also depends what's on offer in the draft. Is it a strong draft or a weak draft? Gold Coast have probably looked at the 18's carnival and decided there isn't much we like. Let's offer our two first rounders and a player.

I don't like what Fyfe is doing speaking about it out in the open. There's no need to do it that's what you have a manager for. Maybe he's liking the attention, maybe also it's having an unsettling effect on the playing group with speculation he might look elsewhere. Hard to listen to a fellow player during the breaks when you are out in the media saying you are open to leaving.

Maybe it's a ploy by his manager?

The only thing he said is it would be remiss of him if he didn't look at FA, the media ran with the rest of it and the usual fools fell for the Hackforn bullshit, imo he's staying and will be captain next year obviously he's put a few noses out of joint because he expects the same level of professionalism he sets, I've no doubt those players won't be at Freo next year, to off load Fyfe and I use as an example of GC they would need to give up to.two top ten picks and Tom Lynch to even think about it

They made a mistake with leading teams Fyfe should of been appointed by Ross and the match committee Mundy isn't captain material and he probably took the job on reluctantly.

I really liked Apeness game yesterday took some good contested marks and broke some packs open he's been injury riddled, hopefully he gets a good preseason under his belt and come out firing next year.
