Basil reported it on ch7 , club statement I read says he will be back running on Jan 4 he may miss the first preseason game which doesn't concern me one iota if it was a serious back injury I doubt he would be back running the first day back after the Xmas break.

That would be Anchor's old fella whenever Fyfe is mentioned!!

Could be a blessing in disguise for the Dockers. He may have to ease himself into the season next year rather than hitting it at a million miles an hour and running out of steam towards the end. He was playing injured from the time that Mitchell gave him a deliberate corky and he may have to learn to pace himself next year.

First day of training after the Xmas break starts tomorrow, Fyfe turned up a day earlier and is doing full length run through, sprints and is moving beautifully.

Sounds like a really bad back injury, great reporting by ch7 and Basil who said he would be side lined for eight weeks even though the club said he would return straight after the break, and that other clown Doc Larkins making long distance diagnosis from Melbourne.

Fyfe seems fine. The media and others can tend to over dramatise things on occasion.
