How dare the dockers move, how dare they change from Freo oval to cockburn, all this change is just wrong why can't it stay the same as it was!

old news, this was decided when they did the Peel deal..

AFL has been pretty keen to use Mandurah for scratch matches anyway. Didn't Western Bulldogs play Freo down at Peel the other year?

I would have loved to see them stay in Freo but I am not sure the FCC really tried hard enough to keep the club interested.I also think that the heritage issue would have made it hard to get what the club wanted.

I would have thought Sowfs would be devastated that Freo were leaving the concrete jungle as they will now have to actually pay for the up keep of the joint for the first time in nearly 20 years!!

and now we have the suggestion that East Feo will takeover the 'new' facilities, that must be a huge slap in the face for sowfs

WAFC probably rubbing their hands with glee. If I remember correctly during the two AFL clubs pushing their way into the WAFL, reports of shared grounds would become more prevalent, along with mergers.

Good move by the Dockers. State of the art facility wll be built allowing them to compete with the power clubs of the comp.

Shame to see them leave Fremantle though.

Just shows you there is no more tradition in the AFL, they play on 3 manicured grounds in Melb and only a handful of clubs actually reside in their suburb..at least we still have that in the WAFL for the majority of teams

Some things never change anchor & that is Freo are continually a rabble on the park!
