I know this is primarily a WAFL site but I know there are a few Dockers supporters on here. After last nights game where looking at all the key statistics , Fremantle should have had at least a 5 goal win. The effort was there but they were shockingly wasteful and were continually bombing the ball into their forward 50 which made it easy for D'arcy Moore and Co who then set up counterattacks which yielded 15 goals from 34 inside 50s..

I am shaking my head and wondering what needs to change to turn this team from the mediocre one they are now to a contender which they are a long way short of.
Is it the coaching?
Is it a skills deficiency with the players?
Is it a lack of confidence in the group?
Poor on field leadership?
No plan B when Plan A isnt working?

I have my ideas but would be interested in others views. I feel for the people who have been following them for 30 years because they have consistently over promised and under delivered

Given the 4 elite outs for the Piers it makes this effort even more disappointing. The bombing into the 50 indicates either the game plan is up to shite or the players aren't executing the plan, either way it's a big issue for the coaching staff.
The Dorks really should have had a comfortable win. Home ground advantage against a team that rarely travels and with those big 4 outs ........

Lyon ( last week) made him ( JL) look like a novice

Doesn't get any easier for the Dockers. This week they will face GWS in Sydney with Jesse Hogan rampant after kicking 7 goals in a fantastic win over Geelong. If they lose this they will be feeling the season start to slip away at 4-6

Freo are 1 game outside the top 8 + 18%
Thats like being two games outside the top 8.
Probably have to win 9 of their last 13 games to make,the top 8.

Hard to see them doing that given the way they are playing at the moment. I think their next two games after GWS are Port Adelaide and Gold Coast, these are not easy games
