I'm not sure the stats support the idea that Subi's zone is a stellar zone. the club has won a total of 3 colts flags and 1 4th's flag, prior to 2018 the previous colts flag was 1989 and before that 1974, not really an example of having a dominant zone. The last few years has seen a good group come through that played finals in '17 and won in '18, that happenes from time to time the last time for Subi was in the early naughties when players like Parker and Smith came up through the colts and before that in the early 80's when Keene, the Taylors, Phil & Dwayne Lamb, Breman Browne came through forming the basis of Buntons teams. I cant find anything about perths colts but Swans according to their website have won 6 colts flags and 3 4th's flags so 9 from their development squads, that would indicate that the geographical location of the zone has less impact than the participation numbers.

For two zones living in socio-economic squalor then, how in fark are their respective WAFL footy grounds so pristine then?...LOL

STD I was only addressing comments regarding our zone, not our past recruiting practices.

So STT if Perth had a choice of recruiting two guys from the VFL and a fella who was on an AFL list for 3 years for no games over 3 guys straight from the AFL....one being a a former top ten draft pick, the other being an AFL premiership player and the other played footy at a club called Hawthorn....you would go for the former group of recruits over the latter group of recruits...LOL...then why aren't you Perth's recruiting man then?....

the real point about the zones is this:

Perth might have won 1 flag
EP zero
WP zero
Peel zero
Sui probably zero

WP and Subi have won flags because they have recruited. Come to think of it, this is also true of SD.

SS out of interest how many Colts flags have Claremont & EF won?
We have won 6 as you say which is ok but nothing outstanding in 70 years or so however long the Colts have been going.

and developed a culture of winning and commitment amongst it's players and coaching staff....something obviously money can't buy because one club is poor and the other rich...Yet same desired effect of success...

I would chose the guy that has the more hunger to succeed which is usually the guy with no afl games tbh!
