In recent months he has been very vocal in the press re player transfers. Keeps saying players who want to leave shouldn't be held to ransom so I'm sure he'll continue that stance.

There is no chance of WP wanting him to sit out of footy, no benefit to us in that scenario. Although CL would not want to pull the piss either in negotiations, its a near on dog act to contact a contracted and REGISTERED player.

I'm just wondering who contacted whom leedy. How would claremont know a contracted and registered player was on the market and how would crapler know there was a footy development role available at the petticoats? Sounds to me like he was offering himself around...could be wrong though.

Sounds like he wanted a job in footy development and not sales and his manager found him one.
Like the Krak situation last year no doubt Raponi will use the media to push his side of the story, dial a quote that bloke

Mate, your a shit stirrer of the highest order ! No shit he will use the opportunity on the radio to explain the circumstances. Just for the record, the position that Kepler will take on pays $50-60k (I know someone that had the same position not long ago), CL will be giving him an added $30k minimum, thats what people forget.

i'm with you screamer.
Early 2000's we prided ourselves in getting players back to WP.

Skender, Rigol, Lasscott, Lecras, Chambers,Strik, Longmuir to name a few.
As i have said growing trend now is they don't head back.

Leedy i think you underestimated some of the players that moved on.

Embley was never giving the opportunity to see if he could mske it. ( he did win our ressies F&B). Mcphee and Latham showed potenial.(Latham played in Subi premiership team, which shows he had something and Lockyer is only 21/22years of age with plenty of time to develop.

And finally i don't give a toss what Bradley is on at Claremont. He is a contracted player at WP. Maybe he shouldn't have signed up till he saw what was available.
Its all about integrity and he has lost any he had IMO

I have known Kep since he was young lad, his older brother played juniors with my boy at Kingsley, saw him at a game and chatted to him and he made it quite clear that he saw his future in football, coaching development etc so I am not surprised that if an offer was made he would have jumped at it.

As for the playing thing that is between him, the Tiggers (Target) and WP.

Claremont have lured Bradley over for one thing only and that's to play football. Bradley has an AFL manager and he would have shopped around for the best deal and part of that deal was to obtain a job that Kepler wanted. Paul Bevan was very specific in his and his partners job requirements and West Perth could not provide that. The same happened with Josh Smith. I know that for a fact because I know someone who is close to Josh. The job is all part of the deal to lure players to play football. I believe that Claremont's investment in Kepler is poor. Why would they pay a market value for a player that may only provide them with fourteen games and probably retire after two years with the club. All I can say is, good luck Kepler.

I think the bigger question is why do so many footballers leave the afl without anything resembling a career path?
