Agree mate Claremont look good yesterday against our Reserves but having said that our Reserves team (no offence meant to any players) was a scratch side if you look at the Regular KEY reserves players who had been elevated to the League and performed well at that level. As you say players will come back to the reserves who are eligible being the 5 game rule. Some of the reserves will be dropped but the club comes first and most of our players who are in the league played the MAJORITY of their games in the Reserves anyway and deserve the rewards of playing finals footy
It was a bit of a problem last year when our League was in the GF and on the same day our Reserves also had a GF.. Creates a bit of a enigma for the selectors and stretches your playing group. SF on the day dropped some League players back as they didnt have that problem hence our WP Reserves were out classed on the day.

Thats the way the penny drops and it would be very hard for any WAFL side who have both reserves and League in the Final game with injuries etc etc.
This year we only have the one unit up there so if they make the GF we will be able to put our best side out there and we will have quite a few who have had league experience due to our Coach giving a lot of Reserves players a run to prepare them for next year.
Nothing can be done about the imbalance and thats footy.
Finally the WAFL/WAFC have created a big imbalance by allowing EP to field a Eagles team of professional footballers. It is certainly not a level playing field as EP have a huge player base where a lot of them are already eligible to play WAFL FINALS
Looking forward to the Reserves series of finals becauee at least it will be predominately WAFL BASED
