Leo wrote: Luckily I dont have to rely on replays. I saw it happen right in front of me unfortunately. Its as simple as this. As players were jogging to take up positions, Mifka ran up behind Heatley and shoved him in the back. As Heatley turned around Mifka flattened him with a huge swing of his thug right arm. Worst thing I've ever seen. And the fact it unsettled Subi and helped the garlics win a GF by taking out Heatley who would have been suffering from concussion would probably make BC's declaration of it as a dog act true, and that wouldnt matter what club you support.

Loved that GF, what a memory, Heatley was a big girl anyway..

We had Troy Wilson taken out in the first 5 minutes of the 1999 Grand Final by that thug Peter Wostfold, that had him stuffed for the rest of the game and he had little influence from then on.

But hey we went on to win that Grand Final like true champions.

Winger wrote: Cardy, this video is an extension of the 100 year tribute that Peter Hale created. He has extended from 1985. I would be very interested what the quality is like.

Winger,

It has some good additional footage but no interviews from anyone involved from 85 - 2003.

Some might say West Perth received the ultimate karma about 15 years later.

At the end of the day Mifka helped WP to a memorable win a thumping actually & you blokes need to get over it.

Spot on Terror...It was a hard fought GF and a good game to be at. Blurton was carried off on a stretcher from memory.
BC has a problem with getting over things. Over the years there have been a lot of big hits in the WAFL especially in the early days.. I suppose losing a GF didnt help him?
And to put that down as the incident that won WP the GF is really stretching it.

Now where were we - Oh yes the DVD. Will get a copy and give an opinion of it.

Nice to see the board ticking over now... Bit quiet on the WP page.

cardy...where did i say the mifka incident won WP the GF? I havent said that at all and never will. It takes more than one gutless act to win a GF... Subi went in short priced favourites but went the biff that day after mifka's king hit...for mine, we only had ourselves to blame due to a lack of discipline.

You forget Curley getting cleaned up in the centre and Miff was provoked and did not throw the first punch. The little boy Heatly took on more than he could chew and Langdon was his usual idiot self... The result in the END PROVED IT ALL...The best club won that one.
But why try and explain and show you the clip because your head is up your arse.
Miff Miff Miff..

A Breckler medal winner at WPFC and a Loyal servant of his club.

A gentle reminder.. of what occurred anyway.

aaahhh...love a good old fashioned stoush to kick off a GF. No whinging, they were all in it!

Exactly! They were all in it and $ubi couldnt stand the heat

Atleast Mifka wacked Heatley face to face. Not like Langdon's "payback" on Todd Curley.

Well that was exactly my problem with it mate, it was anything but face to face. Heatley was facing the other way and Mifka king hit him as he was turning around following the shove in the back.

Have you watched the vide? Heatley certainly didnt look like he had been king hit to me. Matter of fact he didnt seem to have a problem. Tunnel vision by the LOSERS seems to be a problem...MIFF MIFF MIFF :P
