Kody Manning & Shane Nellsons 50th games
They were both listed as having 49 games in the Budget on Saturday
So should it be celebrated on the day/game of the 50th or the week after
??????

Asked the same question.. I saw on WAFL site they had milestones comming up but nothing on the WP website so thought yesterday was their 49th and next week 50th.
Both deserving of recognition and hope they are around a long time.
If no one answers here will give the club a ring on Monday mate.
Either way I will be shaking both their hands next week

If you goto this link still has Kody at 49 games and they have got ROUND 15 on list of League games so appears it will be next week. Go down to Season and click on the drop down menu for games played in 2014.
I was surprised by the stats and thought they were wrong but after looking at the stats from the game it was right 8 disposals 4 kicks 4 handball... shit no wonder we lost :(

Something else I picked up when I put my pics up Kody is wearing number 47 his original jumper (old pic) he now wears no 29 the old jumper of Michael Mascoulis who was tragically killed in a car accident RIP. Michael was a WCE Rookie listed player who was hosted to WPFC and played for us. Didnt know if it was a symbolic thing or just done as per routine? Because it is unusual for a player to change jumper numbers.

Many years back Ric Toovey wore 47, then upgraded to Bill Dempsey's famous Number 12, which you would if you had the chance. I think John Riggs & Ben Stewart who played a bit of League also were 47 in the past

Spot on Kirbs, of coarse Clayton Lascock was a great Falcon and was a vital cog in the 99 GF with the infamous Gault collision.

It would be up to the manager I would think to ensure these timeline events in players lives are bought to the coach’s attention and properly recognised
On that subject, I have a small comment regards our new Manager in that he comes across as more of a business acumen style of Staffer rather than a Cardinal bleeder if you get my drift. His bedside manner is a tad harsher along monetary lines rather than motivationally rousing sentiment and then attendance.....I am sure he’s extremely effective in his role and maybe I’m just soft for the past, but a less sharp approach might be in order.
I guess while I’m on this topic of staff - with our on the face of it persistent failures of our forward press these last weeks, could some of the change rest with our Forward Coach? He's a newby if I’m right and bewilderingly for me at least, reads from notes without engaging the players?? To add to this less than captivating approach with his voice that if projected any softer he would be just 'thinking his comments'
The last weeks I have listened to him and found only the confident speaking players dissecting and talking the quarter performance - this can’t be a good thing? There must be a constructive professional Coaching view enforced, the players deserve this as does the club.
Not trying to knife him (sorry I don’t know his name) but we don’t need 'Elma Fudd' speaking softly softly ‘I’m Hunting Wabbits’... cute yes - but effective, me thinks not – Give me Yosemite Sam! Blustering away and pulling the guys together

WP's CEO David Crute played for Claremont in the mid 80's!

4 League games in 1985.
He played all of the above levels at Tigerland Kirbs.
Waflonline players section is not an accurate source as it has not updated a lot of information pre- 2000!

As i have previously said boys i have absolutely no respect for anyone at the Footy Commission. If you care to have a look at who is on the board 95% have had ties to either the Eagles, Dockers or East Perth. So it is not surprising as to what has gone on.
None of them really care about the WAFL and treat like a second rate competition. As it has been said the lessons from the previous alignment have not been learnt.

Gee isnt Google good.. An old article from the West.. Nothing about being a player but you would have to assume before coaching he would of played.

Thanks for making me find the article though as didnt read it at the time and gives a good background of David

The former Claremont reserves coach identified a career path from the AFL back to the State league when he was appointed yesterday to replace the departing Gerry O'Dea

Rang the club re Nelly and Kody milestone.
They are a bit unsure as well. due to WAFL stats not being right. Foxtel Cup games are counted as WAFL games.
One thing for certain Kody and Nelly will be playing their 50 WAFL competition game this week v Subi. It could be over 50 games for the club if Foxtel taken into account.
Well done to both these players and hope the both have a good one on Saturday as I am sure they will.

Swans had a similar issue earlier this year with Ames and Davis with WAFL records including Foxtel cup so they got to celebrate their milestones 2 weeks in a row as the boys preferred WAFL games to be the real milestone celebration.
