Manning played a good match let's hope he has matured because I am sure no one on this forum condones racism in football. Really was a tough day to get any free flowing football. West Perth got very well organised after half time their forward press was the key. East Perth did not set up quite so well and WP gained some good opportunities out the back. In all honesty the margin flatters us slightly but I think the sides are quite even and we may meet again soon.

Did not stay after the colts, to cold and wet. Well done to your boys in Ressies and league. Can't comment on those games so won't.

We were unbelievable after 1/2 time, played perfect wet weather footy and beat your blokes at your own game. Funnily enough Grump, call it a coincidence if you like, but you guys went to shit at the time Jughead "just" O.K Nichols tried to blue with the entire WP side, in all fairness the other players were trying to calm him down and seemed embarrassed of his actions, he even had a crack at his own players on the bench !

He seems to have an issue with WP and your guys know how to exploit it, more power to them. I am all for a bit of the melee and hard stuff on the ball but being dumb abt it is just dumb and not even semi professional.

Have a good one and hopefully we can play in the business end of the season

Anyway, you are on track for y

Hmmm I wonder if that bloke behind Swan in that pic is a WAFL umpire? As I have often thought that they love him with the amount of free kicks they give that sniper!

Manning played more then a just 'Good game'! as did the entire team after 1/2 time - when was the last time the Feral's were kept goalless for an entire 1/2 of a game -
Manning's on his way back from a knee operation and has more maturity in his middle finger than that excuse of a washout - Oakley Nicholls, .. ask some of your own players he embarrassed yesterday!!

Nicholls tried the racism call again on several WP players on the park yesterday as its the only card he has to draw - he fixated on Manning in last years game as he was once again getting cleaned up by him and he won with his loaded deck of "poor me I'm a victim of racism"

Sorry for my outburst here but I am sick to death of this reverse racism being called and displayed and when young men get caught up and tainted with this far reaching brush it comes a time when Truths need to be voiced! There are way to many excellent people on 'both sides' of this argument who do not this abuse of the terms, and clouding of the facts.

The game will be much better for it when this sort of walking wounded player/individual no longer sets foot on a field and retires into obscurity - something he's already not dealing with well...

Well Done to our WP - you've turned a very important corner at this game.

One thing that hasnt been mentioned is the umpiring which is unusual B) by

Umpires for the WP V EP game. Best of luck to these guys as its not going to be easy. :woohoo:
Field: Matt Adams, Scott McPhee, Todd Keating
Boundary: Michael Washbourne, Brad Hunt, Hugo Robinson
Goal: Brody Payne, Brett Rogers

I was impressed by the job the guys did even though they did miss a few both ways but that is the way it is.
Had a look at the reports but not up yet. Not sure but I dont think I saw the book come out? even though I did see a couple of blatent head high elbows from EP players to the head of WP players. In fairness to the umpires though and it was pointed out to me that they were not really in a position to see it?

I dont think it was a matter of EP being GOOD BOYS but I noticed the umpires jumped in pretty quick to diffuse situations and didnt let it get out of hand by penalizing players who infringed early albeit a lot of whistle blowing was going on.

Must give them a pat on the back as they made it QUITE CLEAR they were not going to put up with any Shit. I suspect after the bullshit v Swans EP might of had someone whisper in their ear THEY WOULD BE WATCHED :cheer:

I did watch the umpires leave the field after the game to see if there was the USUAL response by the EP supporters but nothing happened. Maybe those Drunken Ferals have moved on?

Shit did I say that

Now the second thing is YOU HAVE ALL FAILED in my test to check if you read the posts.. No one mentioned my change to the lineups and if you look at the EP lineup you will see I changed the name of one of the players.. See Swan  On page 5
The prize was going to be a 12 membership to the EP EAGLES in 2014.. :(

Maybe a drink card to the old Perth nightclub 'Gobbles' would have been a more appropriate prize Cardy!! :P

Match review from the West

West Perth maintained second spot on the ladder with a hard-fought 30-point victory over arch rivals East Perth at Arena Joondalup today.

Inclement weather ensured slippery conditions throughout the game, which was a slugfest all day, and kept fans away.

With so much on the line for both teams, a crowd of more than 3000 had been expected.

But only 1422 fans braved the cold to see the Falcons all but sew up a place in the finals with their 10.14 (74) to 6.8 (44) win.

I believe Manning admitted that he used a racial slur this is not in dispute. I will also take the young man at his word that he was "extremely remorseful" and he slipped up in the heat of battle. I think to cover it up or pretend it never happened regardless of your bias towards any individual is very ordinary.
