A very ordinary decision from the board.Maybe Mrs Hird will become Chairperson of the club as well. How old are their kids!!
With The Mad Monk bringing back in royal awards from Betty Windsor,he may now after all this officially become Sir James Hird.

Pee Poor, though entirely PREDICTABLE.

Did anyone really think jimmy boy would be sacked? I don't think so. What a disgusting person at a disgraceful club.

There has to be more to this, it smells of Hird having something over the AFL and dictating what will happen. It makes no sense, he was warned about the supplements and carried on, no doubt the Fat Man warned them and they didn't listen, then Fat Man announces retirement, without a new job? He was pushed, the AFL are in a very poor position here, they lose whichever way they go now. If this was a coach at an interstate club - I wonder how it would have transpired.

Pretty clear to me what the Hirds have over the AFL. Demetriou broke laws when he tipped off Essendon that carry up to 2 years of potential jail term. Everyone's comments re Tanya's interview are lambasting her for her timing. Nobody seems to want to hear and recognise the content of her statement that AD has lied. God forbid if truth finally starts to emerge contradicting any of AD's actions and statements to the public, both the leaked versions and the ones he's made looking straight down the camera.

I'm going to put this one out there, and I might be wrong...

Do the AFL and Essendon know what is coming to Hird via ASADA?

Essendon have already forked out $2m in fines, plus legal costs, PLUS JH's reported $1m wage, PLUS extra now to Bomber (naturally as head coach we would demand more).

Would a final pay out to JH for an early release financially break Essendon? Are they waiting (hoping) for ASADA or WSADA to do the dirty work for them?

Heaven forbid that Demetrio would give the roid monkeys a heads up, the ACC have already cleared AD he didn't leak any info from them.

AD probably worked out that the blackest day in sport involved Essendon and that Asada are on to them if anything he's tried to help the Bombers out all along.

With any luck Asada will start handing out infractions in the next couple of weeks , the exude for not knowing what some of the drugs they injected were makes them pretty much guilty IMO.

Correct me if I am wrong but the supplements that have been brought up in this whole investigation have either been forms of protein or products that are designed to boost the immune system. No mention of roids which are in another league. Every medical analyst that has spoken of the supplement regime has stated that there is no evidence of any of this stuff being performance enhancing, to the contrary, that many of them have been found to have no benefits whatsoever. Thymosin Beta-4 being the only one proved to be performance enhancing and Essendon deny having used that product (see Jobe Watson's statement unbelievably left out of ASADA's report). Not saying everything is above board what happened at Essendon, experimental probably the best word to use, as there is no way to truly know with all the spin that we've been fed but to call these players roid monkeys is miles from the truth. You really want to discover a roid regime and direct criminal links to drugs in sport then no need to look east. It happened here in WA in the late 80's and early 90's and there are premierships to show for it. Was offered them myself at a young age by fitness people who I promise you were in important, high profile positions. No names, I'm not silly.

Can't stand the bloke. Hope ASADA rubs him out of the game.

Dank was handed a show cause notice in relation to 34 chargers against the Bombers, he refused to respond leaving to his lawyers more than likely he will get an infraction notice and if he does can,t see players And certain officials not getting infractions.

The day infraction notices get served, if they do, then I agree with you guys. Hird's position becomes unteniable and he should step down. Its then up to him to fight the allegations in court if he really believes he's not responsible. My big issue with the whole thing is how we are even able to discuss these things in detail long before ASADA's investigation is complete, especially when interviews were done in good faith by the players and in confidence. If the club & players are found to be innocent of taking banned supplements nobody is going to believe it anyway which is what really makes a mockery of the whole investigation process. In this case guilt has been determined from the start.
