Griffin. Sandilands. Watson. Cronan. Loersch. Strnadica. Bonomelli.....the list goes on- land of the giants!

Funnily enough- we couldn't get a Ruck or Key Forward for years. Takes those big fellas a while but we were lucky enough to get Big Griff back for a couple of years- hopefully he goes around next year.

Corey Byrne will be like a new recruit for you guys next year- he seems to have missed a lot of footy this year.

That’s really interesting K. Griff has had a fantastic year from what I’ve heard so will probably go again? Loersch seems out of favour, do you know why?
Is Bonomelli a real prospect? And will Cronan make it you reckon?

Loersch has done his back....Cronan I think retired mid season with concussion probs....Bonomelli is 198 and a prospect only young....Griff may retire....tho if he does, an even older fella may slot in by the name of Aaron....tho Strnadica should step on with young Nic Watson

If Narrier can switch on and show more desire he would be the outside mid we need without having to recruit.

TN,Narrier showed plenty of potential prior to being AFL drafted. Delisted after one year and now back with us this season.
He has shown nothing IMO to live up to that potential. His form this year has been sub-standard, lazy and seemingly disinterested. His only highlight was a mark and goal on the final siren to beat Souths. And that was from a desperate kick and hope from a stoppage which happened to find him on a short lead in space.
For mine, he has not shown anything this this year to convince me. I think that others have whizzed past him and I cannot see him turning his fortunes around.

Recruiting is a piece of cake. Why not just grab an all-Australian bloke with 300+ AFL games from the rafters? West Coast did it and have gone from bottom to 5th in the blink of an eye. This recruiting business is easy.

Whilst ruckman/forwards are good additions to any team and us having one would be great but imo we still need a genuine forward and a quality ruckman.

Key forwards don’t necessarily have to be tall,Brenton Cooper kick 90 goals he wasn’t overly tall but this type of forward needs good delivery something we are not great at so the taller. Kpp is a better option, delivery still has to good but at least if it’s bombed in a tall has a better chance of taking the grab.

For to many years we rob Peter to pay Paul and the structure we need right now is specialist key personnel.

30plus agree about getting one player to play two roles but when referring to getting a player like Clancy Wheeler I was meaning that he would play as a permanent forward.

Having a player like him who would play forward would greatly improve the structure of our team and allow the more creative types in our forward 50 to be more dangerous.

Don't even get me started on the delivery at times into our forward line. It's cost us so many chances throughout this season and has probably cost us a couple of games as well.

While I wouldn't knock back a tall marking key forward who will kick 50 plus goals, they don't seem to crow on trees. Or at least not at Lathlain anyway. So if we can attract someone who has the same capabilities as a Wheeler who will be the lead up target, crash the packs, take the marks, bring the ball to ground then I think this is the next best thing. That player takes the best key defender which you would think should have a positive flow on affect for the rest of the forwards.

All of Bennell, Roe, Ninyette are capable pf kicking 30 plus goals with Rogers kicking 20 ish and you would hope that the Wheeler type could kick 25-30 as well.

Gordon was injured during preseason and as a result I don't think he was able to get his body in prime condition. He's managed 12 games this season at all levels. Hopefully he's injury free and is able to have a good run over preseason.

You don't have a good run at preseason either through injury, work or other reasons it's very hard to have a good consistent season.
