Again our lack of height to match opposition exposed as was our difficulty in handling a fast hard running and spreading rebound by opposition.
We are slowly overcoming these difficulties with pure grit and determination.
We were gone for all money when Swans hit the lead late in final quarter but, as we did last week, we refused to yield and were able to snatch victory.
As Dazzler has said, that is a big move forward for us. In past seasons we would have been sitting 1 and 2 at best instead of 3 zip.

Last two weeks have been a bit concerning but as others have stated in previous years we would have lost these games. Happy to be 3-0 to start the season. Hasn't happened for about 6 years I think.

Looking forward to the ANZAC Day game against the Royals. It's always a tough game when we play them.

The key weapon of the Dees 2019 is tackling. Again yesterday 84 to 48 similar to previous weeks.
With that sort of constant pressure we can be a threat to any side.
Good work boys. Maintain the rage.

Agree Smokey we are No 1 in the league for tackling.
Claremont and Subiaco like it free running.
If we can maintain our tackling pressure I think we can peg them back a bit.
Whether we can beat them is another thing.
I might add though we are just about due for wins against them both so don't dismiss it happening before season is ended.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!
I shot the fukin sherriff!!!!

No great rush though. Just leave it til September. That’ll do.

We had a specialist tackling coach over the pre-season. Forget the chap’s name. It seem to have worked wonders. Surely it’s been the difference over the last two weeks. I reckon CJ was mad that he wasn’t included in the top 40 player list. This guy is amazing. He’s 36! Elsewhere I like the fact that we’ve got three or four in the reserves pushing for a game. Blake Johnson has kicked a few goals. There’s Payne who’s been racking up possessions and is a former league player. Then there’s Narrier. A 29 yr old recruit by the name of Jack Schwarz has been going alright. Reckon he might mean business.

I think Guy Langdon needs to drop back to ressies, hasn’t had an impact at league level and may help him adjust to tempo. BJ performing and kicking a few, Kasey Nic also in good touch, and I’d throw in Scotney as possible replacements.
Great to see Payne,Narrier, Roe etc all pushing for selection. Depth and selection pressure is critical and has been missing for years.

Yes I think we need to bring in at least two fresh players for the EP game. For mine Cary I would either Edmonds, Smith and/or Cary and bring in Roe, Flash Gordon and/or Jacob Payne (very impressive).

Perth and East Perth both played on Saturday so both teams in the same boat. Roe has played 1 x 10 possession Reserves game since 2017.

Cary was quiet he would be the only change for me for Narrier at Half Forward.
