We’ve already tried that 30plus. A couple of years ago from memory. Came out all guns blazing and was five maybe six goals ahead at qrt time. And......well you can probably guess what happened next.

Ive seen that as well over the years but imo it’s our only chance.
Skill and class is just not there to worry even the bottom two or three clubs.

As long as I remember, 60+ years, we go down to Moss Street and fiddle with the ball along the outer wing.
On the rare occasions that we play direct footy down the centre of the ground we have won...tho not very often.
In any event, over the years we have a terrible win/loss record against EF at any ground.
The only real joy was on Grand Final Days in 1907, 1955 and 1977.

Don’t remember 1907 smokey, I was only 2 yrs old then....lol. I do remember ‘77 though. That’s when Peaky played with a broken arm. Perth had all the answers that day. Wasn’t it the ex East Freo player David Pretty that carved us up that day?

Pretty sure David Pretty came to Perth via North Melb, cam ealong with Farrant, Redenbach and Doherty

Yep David Pretty part of the Cable deal to North.
Gibellini it would be 58 and 1974 is the year you are thinking of,Pretty on a losing side shared the Simpson medal with Gibellini.

Geez and I was only one in 07 . In 77 Murray Coupar kicked 6 or 7 after being out for a few weeks with a broken arm. Fond memories, I think we broke a record that day either with the best ever winning margin in a GF or the highest score in a GF up to that time.

Dobson, Salamone, Sinclair, M.Jones, C.Jones and Marshall come into the initial squad. Garstone and Bourne are out injured. Nothing was said about Lague but I presume he hasn’t gotten up after being listed as a test on the injury list.

1974 was the year David Pretty one the Simpson Medal I think he shared with Gary Gibellini who was playing for EF at the time.
