This club is desperately crying out for someone with a great skill set. What's his name? Dale Ballantyne? Either the CEO and President get behind him or move aside. Time for those in lofty positions to put the club first.

I reckon time for a change at the bottom.

We do not do anything particularly different from any other club at the top - certainly we don't do anything worse. We have made profits for the last 20 years and have money in the bank despite our lack of on field success - who else could have done that? It wouldn't have happened without someone knowing what they are doing.

We have recruited really well al things considered - we've recruited Sandover Medallists, State players, Butcher Medallists etc. Those guys don't come to the club without someone working hard and doing plenty right behind the scenes -and of course you've got to have the money to pay them.

If we had a better zone things would be sweet.

Now is not the time to jump off - we have given 100% in most of our games but our depth is a problem. If you can add some recruits to the mix next year - and we have a good record here - then anything could happen.

Grassy you're as passionate a D's man as there is and the others on your thread are not far behind, have you and the rest of the D's faithful who are just general punters considered putting up one or two of you for board positions on the platform of being the supporters/members choice. There's an old saying, "it's better being inside the tent pissing out than outside the tent pissing in". Change can most effectively be accomplished from within. I hope you can get the changes done that need to be done, all WAFL supporters feel the same I'm sure.

And who is benefiting from this good financial management? Certainly not the fans, the members, the players and the coaches because on the field we continue to be a basket case and laughing stock. Earl Spalding deserves a whole lot better than what the club has given him to work with and I predict if this club doesn't change its attitude and continues to sit back patting itself on the back for its good financial management, then he will pull the pin well before his two year extension is served. I hope he has put the club on notice.

When Earl was appointed there was talk Todd Curley was in the mix for the job......does anyone think we'd be any better off now if he was coaching and not Earl

WB: good question. We need to also say that Earl coached at EF and they tumbelled down the table. Perth have lost eight in a row or so, have lost twice to the bottom side in a month, and yet the board makes no comment. What is the difference between Andrew Jarman -- whom the President of the day wanted to sack mid year -- and Earl Spalding? Besides being a favourite son, I mean.

Don't forget lads and lassies, all of this has happened since he had his contract extension, something a lot of Perth supporters warnned about when it was announced.

With the same cattle? No. Don't forget TC didn't shoot the lights out on his first year at Souths. But he's got the cattle Earl does not have the luxury of.

Yep, a Claremont premiership player and more recently, I believe, CEO of Water Polo WA and a man who reputably doesn't tolerate under achievement and gets things done.
Perhaps he is better suited to the role of CEO than football manager. Even, maybe with his background and contacts, a candidate for President.

Good point about his credentials. He'd be a darn sight better candidate than the work experience fraud who masquerades as the CEO at present.
