Papertalk was at Perth early last year and then went away. He came back for preseason this year, put in the hard yards and has played some good football at ressies level and league level this season.

I was expecting a response this week after the East Fremantle game and after watching that first quarter I was pleasantly surprised at the level they were playing to.

I didn't expect it to last though as I thought the class of South Fremantle would shine through in the end. What I did expect to last though was the basic dedication and application to the footy that after qrt time seemed non existent. I'm not accusing anyone of not trying but how can they play like they did in the first quarter and then dish up what they did for the other three.

In the last 8 quarters of footy we have played 3 good ones and 5 of the worst ever seen. Got to be above the shoulders - we crumble mentally under any sort of pressure and fall apart totally.

But I was still shocked to see we only touched the footy 256 times as a side - an average of what 13 per player!!! We went into game with an average of 327 so it was a shocker. Surely it has been a while since a team had such a low disposal count...

Zero pressure from South in the 1st buddy, that was the fact.
