Cannot believe Marlin has been dropped. I would love to know the reason for this as surely it's not form related.

C'mon Sharks!!

Marlin apparently sent back to the ressies to find a bit of fitness.

His form has been pretty ordinary this season so far.

That's what we want.
Selection on merit not perceived best option.
This has been the policy for far too long.
Give everyone that deserves a chance a chance.
If they want it badly enough maybe they will step up.

Some of our so called "best options" have slacked on it and not been honest.
Some ex AFL players come to mind.

Me too. Do you know what's happened to Arnold Punch? Not on the injured list.

Boy, there is plenty more still to come with Chris Leonard, Zach Hill, Cody Kickett, Bradley Pattison etc etc. I can't remember the last time we had so many good kids coming through.

Accidentally deleted my original post Dazer. In regards to Punch I haven't heard anything.

The kids are good and show a lot of potential but this potential needs to be nurtured and developed. By doing that we will give all of them the best chance of succeeding at League level. In saying that though just because you were a good junior does not mean you will be a good senior player.

I think a lot of credit has to go to Earl and our colts coach Andrew Ruck and his team in developing these players over the last 2-2.5 years. I remember reading articles where Earl and Rucky both said that the club needed to develop players out of the colts system so when they get their opportunity they are not overwhelmed.
