Before the end of the season is out I wouldn't mind seeing Anton Scotney, Marshall Jones, Corey Byrne, Cody Ninyette, John Levien, Daniel Horan and Joshua Burke play a league game or two.

Give them a taste of it, let them experience league football even if it's just one match. By experiencing league football they will hopefully know what level they have to get to and this may push some of them to work harder over preseason.

We would Pete, it would be a significant achievement at our club and might spur on young players to go onto greater things at a higher level, if not AFL then WAFL league level.

DD and Grassy agreeing . I have never seen it before.
:cheer:
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Those four kids in the ressies are future league players if we develop them.
We have not done it in the past and probably for the wrong reasons.

Yep, sounds fine DF. What Perth need to remember it's all fine , rosy and cosy to develop players, but said players then need to stick around long enough. Retention and keeping is also important. Too many instances where we now see good developed players drifting off and away from the Wafl. :( When that happens you just go back to square one over and over again. Not detracting from the other team players as I'm quite sure they try hard. Development takes time and is not an overnight occurrence.

Correct WAG,development is retaining them.
It's retaining them and turning them into league players.

Maybe some of these kids can get a league game at the expense of some of these other players that have struggled for form over the last couple of weeks.

I think this one was a by of a wake up call. Had a few good wins but have had a lot of boys getting carried along IMO. Few interesting selections the last few weeks, don't know how you can justify stack, Stevenson being dropped. Also I have my doubts about the backline if you take Sinclair out and gianattis defends pressure we would struggle those two carry the backline. Marlin and Latch often get exposed one on one badly - shown on the weekend. I watched the reserves game and Mills is playing key back and dominated his opponent took some really strong grabs and desperate spoils in the last term, that is lacking in the league team.Wilkins, Browne aren't league standard either.
I think Stevenson, white and garstone up forward will stretch opposition tall backs and would be a key for us.
Changes for next weekend IMO
IN - Stevenson, Stack, Mills, Etto, Wolfendon
Out - Wilkins, Browne, Taylor, Walley, Marlin
