I have no doubt the Graham needs to improve his marking both around the ground and when resting forward but imo he's the best tap ruckman we have and his disposal rate for a big fella is not bad.
Keep him as the number 1 ruckman.
A season under his belt in WA will do him wonders and he can only get better.

In Grastone if we dont groom him to become imo one of the best chf in the comp because he does have the potential to be,then we will be going down the usual path of robbing peter to pay paul.

Not every year, but at least once every 2 or 3 years. The Footy Clubs in the Countey may feel a bit aggrieved that the WAFL Clubs don't play in their zones more often,so the WAFL Clubs have a bit of a balancing act to perform,to make sure they're perceived to not just be taking from the Country, but giving a bit back as well.

This match was supposed to be played at Jubilee Oval in Northam, but got transferrred due to concerns about the playing surface.Really?Though the State Game there was about 2 years ago,it looked pretty pristine to me.Bowling Green pristine.Had it gone downhill since?

How did the folk at Jubilee Reserve(Railways or Federals)feel being told their Surface was not up to scratch? And by whom?Rosich?Harris?Or was it left for poor old Steve Hargrave to do the Football Commission's a Dirty work Yet Again,to deliver the bad news?

Absolutely Farcical, but that's not the fault of the Folk in the Country and I daresay we owe one to the folk of Jubilee Oval, but on the proviso we don't play any AFL Aligned Clubs.

Well no one has been able to name one player from Cunderdin that's played at Perth, we owe them jack considering we lost by 11 points to a mostly Peel reserves side I would like to think our home ground at Lathlain would of got us over the line

The WAFL can't attract enough supporters as it is in Perth so we give away a home game in Cunderdin for a 1000 locals who wouldn't give a shit about PFC I bet Peel were happier than Perth in that scenario a nuetral game ffs.

As I have already said, if you're going to have country fixtures, have them at the start of the season. If the idea is to give back to the country zones and to generate a bit of interest in the bush for WAFL, surely earlier in the season makes more sense. Chances are at this time of the season, you're going to have a meaningless game in the bush. At least at the start of the season, country people are more likely to show some interest. Doesn't each club play 21 games? That could be 10 home, 10 away and one neutral country game. But use the country game to promote the season ahead, not to watch what could be a meaningless game. Perth v Peel wasn't meaningless at all but imagine the difference in interest in a Swans Subi game now compared to the start of the season. Timing is the key to successful promotion.

I can tell everyone that there is life outside the city limits! Having Wafl matches in the rural areas is great. The country games always seem well attended too. The Perth match being the second highest crowd figure for the round. I'm sure the Wafl clubs themselves don't mind getting out and about. After all, it is supposed to be the Western Australian football league, not the Perth metropolitan competition. Giving country people a chance to see a Wafl match live instead of simply laying on the lounge staring at the idiot box is a good thing. If these matches keep being supported, no reason why they cannot continue.

I'm pretty sure Matt Rogers came from Cunderdin. It's a nice little wheat belt town but I remember going there back in 2004 I think it was against SF. We won that game and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We stayed at the Northam hotel overnight and I recall when having a meal the night before in the pub dining area no one even knew there was a WAFL match on in Cunderdin, even a Perth country member who brought out some old WAFL footy budgets from the 70's didn't know. Michael Johnson played in that game, not sure if he was in his first year at Fremantle but was definitely drafted after that season.

We went for a stroll through Northam the morning of the game, bought a little red and black demon from a Salvos store for my son and no one there knew a WAFL game was on. So you have to ask the question, what effort is made to promote WAFL country games in the town and surrounding towns?

On this occasion given it was originally scheduled to be played at Northam and the ground not being in satisfactory condition, the club should have exercised it's right to shift it back to Lathlain.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Matt Rogers is from Cunderdin PN.
Also Guy Baxter, Lindsay Carter, Grant Hatch, Terry Coleman, Kim Coleman, Chris Lee came from Cunderdin or near Western neighbour Meckering whilst the Kickett clan (not Perth I know) came from the other side of Great Eastern Hwy near Eastern neighbour Tammin.

Thanks BH probably not a hundred games between that lot, and Rogers the only recent one I just spent a week in Dongara plenty of kids with AFL footy gear my point is I don't think country games achieve anything for the WAFL, Perth would of got more out of playing the gane at Lathlain.

Very easy
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

South Geraldton = Joondalup

But apparently Carnarvon is for real :S and odds on there will be no radio coverage.
