Disappointing last quarter for sure, gave up early goals and then repeatedly gave the ball up coming into the forwarded 50, not helped with some poor skills. Some of the short passing in the last was really atrocious!!

I liked some of the defensive work of Latch and Marlin (plenty to work with) but this was coupled with some clearances from the back line which were pure coach killers .

We continue to make some elementary mistakes, one I remember clearly early in the game where we had a clear 2-1 advantage and they just didn't help each other resulting in the EP player winning the ball when he shouldn't have had a sniff.

White was very quiet, we really need him to lift. Dennis did some nice work and took a great contested mark in the first but then lets himself down with poor efforts..

This match was alive and well in the first half. Perth’s first and second quarter figures looked good.
Perth having 7 scoring shots (for their 5 goals 2 minors) as opposed to 13. With 11 Inside 50’s as against their opponents 32. Resulting in Perth achieving 32 Ball Disposals per Goal. Perth very direct by doing 2.2 Disposals Inside 50 per Goal to the oppositions 6. Perth having 48.7% of the first half game Ball Disposals with the opponents 51%.
Yet Perth only being 6 points in arrears at the big break. They were obviously playing a direct style of play to good effect.
The afternoon went pear-shaped for the Demons in the second half with only 9 scoring shots and the opposition having 10 more. Perth’s Ball Disposals per Goal increased to 33.6. And Disposals Inside 50 per Goal increased to 4.2. In the second half, Perth not improving their 48% of the second half game Ball Disposals.

Perth v EP was the original rivals, but that was a bloody long time ago and has been eclipsed by EP v WP, the fact thats its interchangeable indicates its probably lacks a bit of genuine substance to start with.

Isnt supposed to be perth v sd now, ? Its farcical tbh.

The way this club is going it will be the P/EP v Peel derby soon enough .
