Spot on Grassy. Those pre 1966 Colts Glory years certainly sowed the seeds of the Dynasty that was to follow.
I well remember watching Colts' games on a Sunday afternoons and being in awe of players such as Ramshaw, Brehaut, Jenzen, Shields, Astone, Mills, Stiles, Millson, Miller etc, etc. Those players along with some of the older players in Cable, Dalton, Pyke, Page and more, today would most likely be automatic AFL draftees before they played many WAFL games.

The threepeat of the 60s was followed by two losing GFs then more flags in 1976/77 and the sad loss in 1978 which was the beginning of the end of the golden period.

Sadly, the intervening years have produced very few highlights. Let's hope that 2016 will be the catalyst for the club's revival after all those years and we will again take our place as one of the premier WAFL clubs.

1966-78. 13 years. 8 grand finals. 5 premierships.

It was a great era for the club. Does anyone remember why Atwell went off to South in 71 or so?

I think Cable came back from North Melbourne for a year.
