There's talk about making WAFL more exciting by shortening the games. What a bloody great idea. Let's make games go for just one quarter. It's a winner I reckon.

I would have thought evening up the competition would make WAFL footy more attractive.

Come on now. There's no place for logic in all of this. There's been no logic in the WAFC's thinking for decades. Why start now?

Yeah that's the future for the WAFL. More innovation. Would have been great to have ended the game today at quarter time with an exciting shot on goal after the siren putting the Demons in front.

How about games with imaginary footballs? Or maybe a game without umpires? Or maybe a game where the captains umpire and players place a hat on the ground to mark the kick?

The game has become that bastardised by fkn rule changes it has become an amalgam of every other sport and is dying on the vine.

As for todays game Subi are that freakin good by foot and hand and run and body strength that if they don't win the GF something is seriously wrong. Full on effort in the first quarter from the Demons, dropped off while Subi stepped up a level in the second, flogged again in the third and got a cheapy or two in the last with better effort.

The young fella from Subi (Hoskins) that tagged Tropy did a top job.

Cal Walley was one that played a good game up forward getting loose and creative every time. He's a been a decent pick up from amateur level.

I take it he's a small forward?
Disappointing but just look at Subi's side.
You have to wonder how they fit all those high point players in their salary cap.
I noticed Tropiano was quiet early.
But he fought back into the game in the second half by the look of it.

Dazzler what is a blaring weakness is the ruck.
Out knocked by 2 of Subi's KPPs being used as backup ruckman.
Ours getting a share of taps, but no possessions or marks.
Eyres has to go, there is more to rucking than just getting a few hit outs.

Yes that is true DG but your guys also nailed plenty that would have been 50/50 by other teams. That flower bag punt from Boland in the third that went right through the middle, Halligan wafting through a couple from 40+ metres.

The difference was the skills and that run and body strength.

I want my money back with interest from all those bottle drives I was slave laboured to participate in for the Save Our Skins campaign from the early 80s.

I don't disagree DF but the holes are aplenty. Forwards and some help in the midfield asap please.

Marshall Jones having to play PSA...give me a break. How does that help him, us, the WAFL, the AFL???

I liked the way Earl structured up the team today. We tried to get an extra at the stoppages, we had plenty of players running off the line to confront the ball carrier and we tried, successfully for most of our goals, to get one behind the press who could run on to the long ball but Subi were a freakin machine with their ball movement. Always had a play running back or forward into space. We just couldn't control the ball well enough when we had it and when they had it they killed us.
